Chapter Forty-Nine

Gabrielle's POV

Immediately the blimp showed up, everywhere became quiet and the people sitting next to me turn and looked up in my direction.

The mumbling began as quickly as I was recognized by a few people around and from there, in just solid seconds the entire eyes on the arena had turned my way.

I had my hand over my face as I hurriedly left for my car.

I kept reprimanding my heart for feeling hurt when it knows that nothing was real. Everything was just a game, and nothing more. I don't have the right to be upset, I wanted him to choose someone else, to be with his family. He made it clear to me that he loves someone else at first and I believed his words. How on earth was I supposed to know that I was the one he loves? How could he do this to me? Perhaps he still wants to play games with his ex-wife? He didn't leave me with any choice.

I was mumbling to myself as I walked down the parking lot.
