Chapter Twelve

I braced myself up and started the cafe, straight to my car.

I got into my car and slammed the door shut. When I turned to leave, I could see Michelle and Henry standing outside the cafe and staring at me. The look on Michelle's face was researching me to go and comfort her, but I didn't, instead, I drove off.

Came upon such a bad traffic jam on my way to meet cole, it seemed as Though nothing ever goes my way again.

While I was stuck in the traffic, I thought of texting Cole to let him know my whereabouts.

"  stuck in traffic, where are we meeting? Clubhouse or somewhere else."

I fling my phone to the passenger seat and drummed my fingers on the steering wheel as I waited for his response. In barely a minute, he texted back.

" Your choice, please?" He wrote.

" I'm okay at anywhere you pick but I would prefer the clubhouse.

His message came in. I wanted to pick up my phone and check it out but the traffic light turned green. I drove off to his clubhouse.

It took about forty-five minutes for me to arrive at Cole's clubhouse. I jumped out of the car and proceeded into his place, but was welcomed by a young, petite girl. She received me and led me upstairs to the VIP lounge. The place she led me to was different from the one Cole and I signed the deal we had. It was more luxurious and eye clenching. Soothing music was playing in the background.

Cole was backing me. He was having a conversation with a brown-skinned girl, the heels she was on made her look tall but I bet she isn't, wearing a skimpy leather skirt and a white T-shirt, with almost all the buttons undone.

She keeps twirling her hair around her slender finger. She gave him a seductive smile, and would occasionally bite her lower lip.

He pulled her closer to his chest and they locked lips. I watched as he grabs her ass and squeezed it firmly causing her to let out a moan. Her hands kept on caressing his back as they were kissing passionately.

I was starting to get irritated by everything they were doing. I hated the jealousy that was starting to build in the depths of my stomach. Ugh! It was a fake relationship, why do I have to care about what he did with other ladies? But at least he should have some shame or something, also, it's not as if I care.

I took a seat by the bar and ordered some whisker. I took my first shot before looking over at Cole, my fake lover. He still hasn't noticed my presence yet. ouch!

" Here is your whiskey, ma'am." The waiter tossed two glasses of whiskey toward me.

I was still mad at Michelle, now I have to watch fake lover, while he smooched some other girl in front of me. Why does the universe hate me so much?

Perhaps, I should do something to draw Cole's attention. Maybe a text would do.

" Turn around." I typed and sent it to him.

I waited for his reply. Fortunately, he did. He read the message and turned around. I noticed his eyes widened once he saw me. He started towards me, leaving the girl he was with.

" How long have you waiting?"

" Long enough to witness everything," I said with a malicious grin. I picked up my liquor and down it all at once. I dumped the glass on the counter. " you wanted to hang out"

" Yeah, we should get to know each other better."

" Yeah, I have known you enough for the day. And why all that? This is all fake. I groaned."

" We might go for an interview, be considerate. If you keep acting this way, you will are going to end up blowing our cover. My ex-wife is so smart, she will figure it out."

" Fine, go on. Tell me about yourself."

We both relaxed on the sofa in the middle of the room. " we are gonna take it slow. We will hang out more often, share our experiences boot our pasts." He elucidated.

I couldn't argue with that, he was right. We might gr called up for an interview considering our status, and people will end up finding out the truth about our relationship even before it could start. I wouldn't want to risk it.

" When are we starting?"

" Anytime. But we need to take a picture and post it on our social media accounts. I think this will be a good start. Right?"

" Sure."

He took his phone out and we both posed for the camera. He wrapped his right arm around my shoulders and brought his face to mine, then he took a quick selfie.

" Maybe we should get a little more intimate in the picture, that would make them believe it," I muttered, taking my jacket off. I signaled the waiter to come to take the picture for us.

It made us look like we were kissing each other. Our second picture was of us smiling and staring deeply into the eyes of each other, and then their one looked like Cole was kissing my neck. Perfect! Now they would believe.

I logged into both my I*******m and Twitter accounts and posted the pictures with a caption. " When you finally find the right person, #New found love."

Cole's eyes and mine met. I could see the smile on his face.

I hoped we were making the right decision. I prayed it worked out for us as we planned for it to. We had an aim, and I wished it worked out without anything going wrong.
