SOPHIE POV

The next day, I found myself thinking back to what the Queen had done the previous day and how she had stood her ground against the whole council. I wasn't sure I could do that and succeed. I would be eaten alive by all of them. Whatever she had done or not done, there was no denying her influence among them.

So it was that I found myself heading to her room when I was done freshening up for the day. There were more guards around her room than other places. Magnus must have given them orders to watch her closely. He had still not trusted her fully.

I hesitated then knocked gently on her door. There was no reply and I knocked again. Perhaps my first attempt had been too feeble.

"Who is it," I heard her ask from inside.

"It's Luna Sophie," I answered back. There was a long pause before she replied.

"Come in," She said at last.
