{Hazel's pov}
It was the pre wedding party today and I was getting dressed for it. Well I am happy that I am getting married to Liam, I mean we basically know each other since we were kids. He is my father's friend's son so yeah we met a couple of times. He is really sweet and talkative just like me. Well I can't wait to marry him and have a bright future with him. “Hazel, hurry up.” my mother's voice echoed from outside and I looked at my reflection for one last time before going out. Perfect, the bodycon dress fits my curves perfectly, and the theme was olive and black. So I wore this olive dress with black details. I walked outside just to witness everyone gathered up and as soon as they saw me they applauded. “Here's the bride.” my father happily spoke and I smiled walking towards him and giving him a hug. “Can I have my bride?” We heard Liam say and my father nodded, he forwarded his hand and I held it walking with him. “Come let me introduce you to my friends.” he dragged me with him, as I struggled to match his pace. “This is Emily, my college friend. This is Nichole, my childhood friend. This is Edward, we work together. And she is Ruby, my best friend.” He introduced and I smiled at them. “Hello I am Hazel Watson.” they all passed a warm smile, except Ruby? What's wrong with her expressions? Well nevermind. “Let me introduce you to my college time best friend. Come with me.” he again dragged me, this guy can't he walk Normally? We walked towards a corner where I could see the back of a tall guy who was busy on his phone. “Alan” Liam called out and he turned around, is he for real? He looks like a piece of art. Ok I should not Simp over my Fiance’s friend. “Hazel, he is Alan.” Liam introduced and I smiled at him forwarding my hand for handshake “Hello, I am Hazel Watson.” I introduced myself and he just nodded and forwarded his hand for a handshake. As soon as our skins came in contact I felt a spark running all over my body, and the way he took his hand back I assume he felt kind of the same. - weird. “I will join you both.” Liam said as he got a call and walked towards the Garden. I looked at Alan who was just looking at Liam's figure. “So what do you do?” I questioned just to initiate a conversation, and he looked at me. “I am a businessman, I own a company” he spoke, damn his voice. - so deep and melodious. “That's great” I looked towards the Garden just to notice Liam and Ruby together, I mean maybe they were casually talking. I already hate that Ruby, I don't know the reason but I still do. “Do you think Liam is a good choice for you?” his sudden question made me turn my head towards his direction and frown with confusion. “Of course because he is, he treats everyone nicely, he is talkative, he loves to make everyone happy.” he actually treats everyone nicely, and he loves playing with kids. also he respects my parents too. so what else do we need? “Does he make you happy?” He bombarded another question and for a while I became blank. I mean Liam is a great guy who treats my family as his but what about me? Well he takes care of me too. “Yes he does” Alan nodded walking outside of the room and towards Liam. I shrugged off and joined my friends - why was he asking such questions, isn't that to ask someone such questions when you are meeting for the very first time. but it's alright he is Liam's friend so. ………. I walked outside with a glass of soft drink in my hands and just then I felt someone collide with me, it was ruby. We both fell because of our high heels and the drink I was holding was spilled all over her. Liam and Alan were standing at a distance and they immediately approached us. “Are you both alright?” Liam asked and I nodded rubbing my hands to make the dust fall. “The drink is all over me.” Ruby complained and Liam immediately took off his blazer and helped her stand up first and then made her wear the blazer. What the hell, I am his Fiancee. He should help me first. He then offered his hands to me but I ignored it and stood up by myself. I stood up and rubbed the dust off my dress, but as I was about to take a step I stumbled and was about to fall when I felt someone holding me. damn I thought I was going to kiss the land today. I looked at his face. It was Alan. But Liam was unbothered, he is better from close up, - shut up, you are getting married tomorrow. “Are you alright?” He supported me to stand properly and I nodded in response. “Liam, I think she is hurt and Can't walk, you should take her inside.” Alan spoke, gaining Liam's attention. but Liam's face showed zero concern for me. “Ruby is hurt too, and her dress is ruined. Please wait for a while Hazel, let me help her first.” Liam spoke, he has been behaving differently since ruby has arrived. It should be me who should matter to him, not that ruby. And with that he walked away. Am I already regretting all this? - yes I am. “Come.” Alan's voice brought me out my thoughts and I looked at him. He supported me to walk but my ankle wasn't helping. “Don't mind me.” Before I could ask why he said that he lifted me up in bridal style and walked inside. “Where's your room?”I told him the directions, yes we were staying in a hotel currently for the wedding. He walked inside the room as I opened the door and placed me on the bed. He kneeled down in front of me and removed my sandals. He gently held my ankle and twisted it, I immediately clutched his shirt due to pain but then I felt relieved immediately. “I think it won't trouble you anymore.” I rotated my foot, and it wasn't hurting anymore. woah he is good at it. “Thank-you so much” I mentioned and he nodded walking out of the room. I threw my body on the bed and stared at the ceiling. “should I just call off this marriage?” I questioned myself and sighed - then what about our family's reputation. I can't just cancel this marriage, it's tomorrow. “It's too late” I was talking to myself when the door opened revealing Liam. I looked at him as he walked inside and sat on the bed. “Is your leg better?” I rolled my eyes, now he remembered that I was hurt too? that time all he cared about was about that ruby. “Is Ruby better?” I asked and looked back at the ceiling. “I am asking about you and you are asking about her.” I frowned before sitting up. look at that cunningness. “Shouldn't you be more concerned about me? Rather than being concerned about your best friend?” well my reaction and question both were valid, I stated the facts and it's our wedding tomorrow. “What the problem is that Hazel, she is my best friend of course she will Matter to me.” He explained, making me stunned. so his best friend matters more than his soon to be wife - Great. “It should be me who should Matter the most.” I roared and he rolled his eyes. “If you wanna do the drama right now I am leaving.” He walked out leaving me speechless. What the hell, I am marrying this guy? Who doesn't even care about me? I held my hair in frustration and closed my eyes.{Third person's pov}it was a Sunday morning, Hazel woke up and found the bed empty she frowned and wore the silk robe of her night gown and walked out of the room.the living room was empty too, she frowned and made her way towards his study, she opened the door slowly just to witness him doing something on his laptop."Good morning," He said with a smile as soon as he saw her entering his study, "Good morning, husband." She whispered and lazily walked towards him.she sat on his lap and hugged him, "It's Sunday, Why are you working today?" she asked. Alan smiled the moment she settled into his lap, one arm instantly wrapping around her waist while the other closed the laptop halfway, clearly she had just become his priority.“Mm… I was trying to work.” He corrected softly, his voice warm, a hint of amusement in it as his fingers brushed lazily along her back.“But then my wife walked in…” He leaned in, pressing a slow, lingering kiss to her shoulder, his nose brushing lightly again
{Third person's pov}Hazel looked at him, "Yeah It does matter, and now let's tell Liam to get out of here, I don't want to see him here." She said.She tried to stand up from his lap but he gripped her waist making her frown.Alan didn’t let her move. His grip on her waist tightened just enough to stop her, his eyes darkening, not with anger this time, but something far more intense… protective, possessive in a quiet, controlled way."Let him wait.” his voice was low, steady now, no trace of the drunken mess from before. He studied her face for a second, like he was grounding himself in her presence, making sure this, she was real.“You just told me you love me…” His thumb brushed slowly along her side, almost absentminded, but his gaze never left hers.“And your first instinct is to walk away?” There was a faint edge of hurt there, but softer, almost teasing underneath it.He leaned in slightly, voice dropping to a murmur.“I’m not done with you yet.” A pause. His forehead touched h
{Third person's pov}Hazel woke up when the sun hit her face, she found her self curled up on the floor, she stood up and walked out of the room just to find Liam sitting on the couch.He got up from the couch as soon as he saw Hazel but she completely ignored his existence and walked away.She made her way towards his study and found it locked from the inside, she knocked on it once, twice and thrice and then the door was finally opened.She looked at Alan, he looked exhausted, Like he had been drunk. she peaked inside and witnessed that the room was a complete mess.She sighed and looked at him, "Are you ok?" she asked and he nodded, "do you need something?" he asked and she shook her head, he nodded and was about to close the door when he stopped him."Can we talk?" she asked and he nodded, he stepped aside to let her in and then closed the door."What is this?" She asked as he sat on the chair. "Does it matter?" He asked."Yes it does matter," Hazel replied, "Why does it matter Ha
{Third person's pov}"Liam!" Alan said and suddenly Liam hugged Alan, "Dude you don't even know how much I missed you."Liam said and broke the hug, Alan stared at him blankly and before he could say anything Alan found Liam looking behind him, he turned around just to witness Liam staring at Hazel.Hazel stood there frozen, Now when she was moving on in life there stood her past, Liam, her ex fiancé."What is she doing here?" Liam looked at Alan and then made his way towards Hazel."finally, I found you! I have been trying so hard to get in contact with you, but I couldn't." Hazel stared at the floor and before she could reply or react Liam pulled her into his embrace.Hazel stiffened, While Alan stood at a distance watching the two of them.She pushed Liam and looked into his eyes, her eyes held tears, "stay away..." she said and ran inside her room.Liam looked at Alan and smiled, "She must be flustered after seeing me after so long." Alan didn't say anything."Thank you for taking
{Third person's pov}After having the dinner both Hazel and Alan decided to watch movie, They were on the same couch, cuddling, his hands circled around her while she played with his fingers."You know today a girl from next door came, she was so nice and soft spoken, her name is Ema." Hazel told him.Alan raised an eyebrow at what she said, his expression turning just a little colder. "Ema, huh?" His arms tightened around her subconsciously. He couldn't help the small spike of jealousy at the mention of some other girl being nice and soft-spoken. He tried to play it cool, though. "So what, she wanted to borrow sugar or something?" He grunted.Hazel frowned, "No, she was here because she was bored at her house, And she gave me a nice company whole day." "So what'd you two talk about the whole day?" he asked gruffly, trying to keep his tone nonchalant."Random things, we were just getting to know each and you know what? she said she heard me last night." Hazel said softly. "Was I tha
{Third person's pov}Hazel woke up just to find herself naked in the sheets, He wasn't in the room. She could hear the sound of utensils in the kitchen.she was cleaned, which meant he cleaned her after all the mess he created last night, She stood up with her still weak legs. She picked up a shirt for him from the couch and wore it before walking out the bedroom, She was still limping. Alan was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast when he heard the sound of footsteps from behind. He looked over his shoulder to see Hazel walking into the kitchen, her legs still a little shaky. He smiled to himself, the sight of her in his shirt making his heart do a little flip. "Look who's up," he said gruffly, turning back to the stove. "You're walking pretty fine," She chuckled and sat on the slab, "Only I know how hardly I can walk right now." Alan's smile widened at her comment as he continued cooking. There was something about the way she teased him that he found both frustrating and endearin
