Chapter twenty five
It is a quiet morning on a new week. Everyone is happy that they haven't seen more of their grumpy boss to spoil the day.
Lisa was in her office going through some documents when an unexpected guest walked in.
Without asking he helped himself to an empty chair baffling her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, feeling frustrated by just looking at his face.
The last time she set her eyes on him was the day after her birthday when she chased him out of her apartment, she thought she wouldn't come across him again but she was wrong.
"To see you of course!"
She rolled her eyes at him.
"okay, thank you for stopping by. Can you leave now?"

Grace's POV I'm quite surprised in myself because of how far I had gone from the bed, when I thought of this idea it was just a fleeting idea that I never thought would be fruitful. I had only walked a few feets from the bed and it felt like a mile. "Those fucking bastards" he cussed silently while fidgeting with the car keys trying to turn it on as fast as possible. He noticed something was wrong after exiting Vivian's house and he saw a car following him, he wasn't thinking much about it until it kept appearing out of nowhere. For a fact that it wasn't an outstanding car made him realize they meant business. He tried running from them an uncountable number of times but it wasn't working and they would appear out of nowhere like they had a tracker on him. He had checked himself earlier on to be sure they hadn't put a bug on him.The sky was beginning to darken and he had one more stop to make before heading home. Grace's POVWith more grunts and several shoves at the door it finally opens, I struggled to sit up but she helped me. It was currently dark in the whole house with the minimum source of lighting coming from the window in their room. I was amazed at how she was able to help me rest on the wall. With no questions she went off to set the other girl free making me wonder what she was planning on doing before or was my presence the breakthrough for that.She was pretty tall with a sturdy build, it makes sense that she was able to break the door. But the other girl was in a worse condition than her, she couldn't stand on her own. It tore my heart to pieces to see writhe in pain as she was guided out the room.

Gideon's POVI was so impatient but had to let police do things they are way. After they let out another warning they proceeds to open the door.They were still short of the door when gunshots rang from inside the house , immediately one of the policemen in front of me went down in a soundless heap. Few bullets flew past me and I went down on my stomach with every man still standing, painful grunts beside me drew my attention to see Daniel writhing in pain.Blood was dripping out of his left shoulders."Daniel! Grace's POVIt seems like eternity later but we made it to the house in one piece, it looks very different closer with so sign of occupants."It looks abandoned," The smaller girl said, her voice stronger than when we talked in the house."We can't be too sure until we check," the second girl replied.After a few seconds of rapid knocks the door opens to reveal the silhouette of a woman.We have no idea what time it is but it is quite obvious it pass midnight.

Grace's POVThe sleeping face belonged to Lisa and I felt guilty for doing that to her, she looked around frantically trying to figure out what went wrong."What is it?" she asked puzzled."Nothing" I replied in a small voice.The floating cloud turned out to be a large bed, I was a little disappointed when I realized the beautiful beach was just a dream."Then why did you scream like there's a snake in the room?" Grace's POV I'm quite sure some drivers threw curses at me because of my murderous driving, I just couldn't keep my calm. A couple of days felt like a month, Mr Hyde is back from his trip. He was supposed to be back tomorrow but somehow he is back earlier and for which I am very happy. In no time his house came into and I didn't even bother to park the car properly before rushing into the house. A maid told me he is in his study, and that is quite unusual because he is still working instead of resting. I stopped in front of study and waited a few minutes before knocking, my hand stopped mid air when I heard a familiar voice coming from inside. I'm not supposed to be eavesdropping on the conversation but my curiosity got the best of me. I wasn't hearing clearly and to satisfy my curiosity I put my ear close to the door, still nothing.
