Grace's POV

I'm quite surprised in myself because of how far I had gone from the bed, when I thought of this idea it was just a fleeting idea that I never thought would be fruitful.

I had only walked a few feets from the bed and it felt like a mile.

My heart was beating fast against my rib cage, I'm more scared of him coming back and finding me like this than falling face flat on the floor.

A few steps more and I am at the door breathing heavily, sweat made my clothes stick to my skin like jelly fish.

Fear envelope when I realised the door might be locked but with shaky hands I reached for it and to my surprise it wasn't. I was too happy and forgot to not to let go of the wall, I rested all my weight on the door and once I opened it I barrelled out of the room falling face first to the ground.

The pains and shock of the cold hard floor almost knocked the wind out of me, I can swear I saw stars.

    Grace's POV I'm quite sure some drivers threw curses at me because of my murderous driving, I just couldn't keep my calm. A couple of days felt like a month, Mr Hyde is back from his trip. He was supposed to be back tomorrow but somehow he is back earlier and for which I am very happy. In no time his house came into and I didn't even bother to park the car properly before rushing into the house. A maid told me he is in his study, and that is quite unusual because he is still working instead of resting. I stopped in front of study and waited a few minutes before knocking, my hand stopped mid air when I heard a familiar voice coming from inside. I'm not supposed to be eavesdropping on the conversation but my curiosity got the best of me. I wasn't hearing clearly and to satisfy my curiosity I put my ear close to the door, still nothing.     Grace's POVThe sleeping face belonged to Lisa and I felt guilty for doing that to her, she looked around frantically trying to figure out what went wrong."What is it?" she asked puzzled."Nothing" I replied in a small voice.The floating cloud turned out to be a large bed, I was a little disappointed when I realized the beautiful beach was just a dream."Then why did you scream like there's a snake in the room?" After they let out another warning they proceeds to open the door.They were still short of the door when gunshots rang from inside the house , immediately one of the policemen in front of me went down in a soundless heap. Few bullets flew past me and I went down on my stomach with every man still standing, painful grunts beside me drew my attention to see Daniel writhing in pain.Blood was dripping out of his left shoulders."Daniel!
