Fifty Three

Jasmine locked her door after the argument with Maria. She was very angry and she didn't want to see Maria especially because she didn't want them fighting loud enough for the landlady to hear.

She was studying the Chinese textbook when her phone beeped. She checked the caller's Identity and saw that it was Donovan. Her anger didn't even allow her to remember her arrogant boss who had now turned her fake fiancee.

“You didn't pick the things mom bought you.” He uttered with a fume. Jasmine only remembered the stuff when he mentioned them.

“Keep it.” She gently replied to him.

“I am studying now, talk to you later!” She added before ending the call. She needed to finish the beginner's textbook hence she could move to the next. Learning another language wasn't hard for Jasmine at all because she had always been interested in being bilingual.
