The constant buzzing sound in my ear, as I spoke with the doctor grew until I thought I was literally going deaf, and I could feel my heart still pounding furiously within my chest, making spots swim around the edges of my vision.

The doctor's hands landed on my shoulder and I flinched, gaping wide-eyed at him as my vision cleared a bit. He'd been saying something... I just couldn't remember what it had been.

"You're still in shock, you should rest for a while and have someone else..."
