Theresa nodded, smiling. "Yes, this is the place. It’s a special cave, a sacred site for our pack, a place of great spiritual power."

Kael's eyes narrowed, his mind racing. He didn't sense any powerful magic emanating from the cave, and he couldn't shake the feeling that Theresa was hiding something from him.

But he played along, pretending to be fascinated by the cave and its history. He asked Theresa questions and listened attentively to her responses, all the while trying to get a sense of what she was really hiding.

As the sun began to set, Kael realized that he had been misdirected. Theresa had taken him to a place that was important to her pack, but it wasn't the place he was really looking for.
