Chapter twenty-five

I froze in my stance when Alpha Logan appeared beside me. His perfume was sweet and intoxicating at the same time when it hit my nostrils. It reminded me how I craved to be in his chest, inhaling his perfume.

I wondered what his natural scent was... it must also be so intoxicating and addictive just like his warmth. If he was my mate, I would be able to catch his scent and he would be able to sniff mine too. But there was reality and that was that we were not mates.

"Are you okay?" His low yet deep voice brought me back quickly. I smiled and nodded at him.

"Alpha, you came too." Diane greeted him with a smile when she acknowledged his presence.

She eyed me suspiciously and I could only smile awkwardly at her. Logan was a few inches away from me but his arm was rubbing mine, his warmth arousing goosebumps on my skin. I quickly took a step aside and stood where Diane was to avoid any more suspicion from anyone.
