14. Please don't leave me

ZADE MEADOWS…..

"Hello,"

"Is this Zade?" I heard an unknown voice on the other side of the phone. I was driving so I was using an iPod.

“Yes, who are you?”

“Sir, May I know what's your relationship with Miss Gracelynn Miller?” I was confused by the interrogation over the phone call.

“My ex-wife,” I replied with hesitation.

“Oh! Your number was on her emergency contact. That's why I am contacting you to tell you that sir, you need to come to the Central Washington hospital as soon as possible. Miss Miller is seriously injured, someone admitted her here.” His words fell like thunder on me. And I put a sudden brake right in the middle of a busy road.

“It's a murder case. Someone tried to kill her.”

"WHAT!!!"

“Please come to the hospital.”

"I'm on my way. Don't worry. I'll be there in fifteen minutes." Saying that I hung up the call. I ran my fingers through my hair trying to make myself calm down. I couldn't breathe. And my pulse quickened.
