BATHROOM FALLOUTS

The laughter started even before I got to my desk. It was something I went through every day at the hands of Tyler and his friends, but today I felt different.

What if he had told them? What if they were planning something very embarrassing for me? I f*cked up telling Tyler about the anonymous mail, but I couldn’t blame myself since I thought he was the sender.

“Yo! Here’s your girlfriend kisser, Tyler…” Gavin, one of Tyler’s friends, mocked, and some of our classmates laughed at the joke as they sat like kings with their legs up on the desk.

Tyler’s gaze burned, and my legs wobbled as I walked past Tyler and his group of friends, across his seat toward my seat… our eyes not daring to meet. But as always, I felt his intense gaze triple, as if piercing my soul.

“You don’t seem interested in the high priest today, Tyler,” Steve observed.

I minded my seat, forcing my focus on emptying my backpack for my locker key.
