Chapter Fifty-Seven

Slowly but surely, the WAEC exams rolled by, leaving us with just NECO and lighter spirits. It was set to hold in a few weeks time.

I was enjoying a peaceful evening with Stacy at the dining area, playing a game of ludo and I was definitely beating her at it.

“Six six! Two siki!” I cheered over the outcome of the rolled dice.

“Be using ojoro.” She was taking my win hardly.

The house phone rang, interrupting my counting process. It was absurd, it barely rang. It’d only heard it ring just twice since I moved into this residence and hearing it’s rung resound in the entire ground floor was enough to realize something was most definitely up.
