The birds atop the tree chirped as though they felt my excitement as I strolled through the gates, a grateful smile etched on my face slowly widening into a full blown grin as I adjusted my sling bag. I missed this compound.
I was a senior student proper, the head girl, I definitely had the most amazing guardians and I'm well and alive. Senior year couldn't be any better.
"Babes!" Ella screamed as she alighted from the car, running into my already outstretched arms, joys in our hearts reflected by the huge smiles on our faces.
"You really need to talk to him though,it's not in my place to explain things." She commented after we exchanged all pleasantries as we walked towards the ss3 classrooms, our new classrooms.
"Are those the latest McQueen's?!" Ella shrieked as she stared at my shoes, eyes almost falling out of her sockets.
"Hands down, you legit have the best guardians everrr!" She mused.
"Woohoo!" Nuel's classmates hollered as we walked in together, smiling like lottery winners. It was his first day back and was a Wednesday, a few handshakes and fist bumps here and there and we were at his desk. His desk was already wiped clean and he sat, guiding me to his lap where I made myself comfortable."Hi." Evian from the other day appeared by his side, smiling graciously."Hello, can I help you?" He replied, a bit unwelcoming."I'm one of the new summer students and I was just really surprised as to how good looking you are." She shamelessly replied, even while aware of my presence."Thanks, if that's what gets you to sleep at night and can get your slut self out of here? as you can see I've got a queen. No bitches allowed." Nuel insulted with a cool face and a small smile before turning towards me, placing a kiss on my forehead as the onlookers hooted and cheered.
Second week of coaching was here and unsurprisingly, Evian wasn't in school since the accident and surprisingly, none of her parents had come to lodge a complaint or report at the school. We were still expectant."Guys our prefectship positions could be at stake here." Tj informed." Our worse, our studentship." Aisha replied, a tad unbothered." We could get suspended or expelled, Taiwo, Mum would have our heads." Ella freaked out." Relax, nothing is going to happen and no one is getting expelled or suspended." Nuel tried to hold down the fort." Your mum's in town?" Aisha drifted from the issue, her question reminding me of how I bolted."Yeah, for a few days now." Ella replied rolling her eyes." What if she's dead?" Jess was tripping." Can y'all stop tripping? She'd probably be fine." Casper sighed, already tired of the patheticism.
"I clearly told you to make an effort!" Aisha ranted."But babe,I explained to you." James whined."And not to her." She sassed back."I also did!" He countered."So now, how else do you want me to convince her you're not anti my religion and way of life?" Aisha probed." Aisha I explained to her. I'm positive she saw reasons with me." James replied." But what would it have taken you to just eat it?" She asked." The tummy trouble and it could get worse from there." He responded, disbelief on his face." At least, I wouldn't kill you." She shrugged, totally unbothered." Are you serious?! Unbelievable!" James was getting frustrated." Guys, what's up?" Nuel asked, obviously tired of the argument already." We went to see her parents and has lunch, her mum made a special mushroom pie and I politely
It was the last week of the holiday coaching and the seniors were so looking forward to the party in order to unwind. No one could wait to get away from this obscene stress.I was on my way from the junior school where I assigned various prefects to complete various tasks."Babes?" Ella called out as she walked fast, trying so hard to keep up with my speed."Yeah?" I calmed down."What do you think about throwing an end of coaching party here in school, one that all students can participate in, as the social prefect, it's in my hands and I could convince Mrs Laura to approve it." Ella detailed."Sounds good, let's have it by Friday afternoon, 12pm to 4pm, we'd make the other party an after party for just the ss3 seniors only." I suggested." Make sense, we'd have to be very fast with the preparations though, I'd count on you guys and other prefects too. Right now, I have to get to M
After a fulfilling night over at Nuel's place, I trudged home in the morning of the next day, Nuel making my weekend eventful by hanging out with me before we retreated to his place by night.Neither JB or the twins were home all through the weekend till Sunday nights when they all arrived. It was the first day of first term and senior year proper and I was too giddy for my own good. After the assembly, Mrs Laura gathered the entire female student body of the senior school in the hall for a brief meeting."Good morning students, we have a special person here to address us today, this is Mr George's wife and she has something important say to us." She said before Mrs George ascended the podium." Good morning young ladies, you already know who I am and I just have a little something to say."" Good morning Mrs George." We chorused before she continued. She was
Ruby's POVMidterms were in a few days and I was honestly falling apart, I don't know what to do and I could barely not let my mind wander off. After the termination of George's services at the school, I had nowhere else to run to, there was currently no one to get me the questions and answers to the exams I was going to partake in.How on earth was I going to pass?I definitely couldn't let my grades fall this term, it would arouse suspicion in my parents and even amongst my teachers at school. I need to find a replacement for George as soon as possible.I just didn't know whic-Mr Leye walked past me immediately.Bingo!I'd use the 'do as I say' packaged for him, I didn't want a sexual relations within us, no intimacy with him this wave around.I heaved a sigh of relief, with a small smile. I'd come prepare
The after school WAEC lesson had commenced beginning from the day after tomorrow,we'd start off with the past questions. I was happy about learning more and I knew I'd try all my possible best to ace my finals. My mum and dad didn't make their senior school leaving certificate exams at first trial but I was definitely not going to join the cycle. I was in fact, breaking it."Do you know how much WAEC cost when I took mine?" Dad asked."How much?" I smiled at him."It cost eighty five Naira then." He spoke and my mum smiled as she nodded." Guess how much it was when I had to retake?" He raised a brow."Eighty six?" I teased." One hundred and five naira?" He bragged." Can I get two please?" I joked as I slip a two hundred Naira note of my pocket and we laughed." Wh
The time table had a slight change for the sake of the ss3 students. The hours of 11am to 1pm were for us to register for the upcoming JAMB exams and we were to accomplish that at various registration centres across the country. It was a matter of choice.I and my cousins chose a registration centre that was not too distant from the school. Aunty picked us up at eleven on the dot as she already had Rose in the car. We arrived at the centre in no time."Who's going first?" Aunty asked and I agreed to while my cousins watched."University of first choice?" The registrar inquired and I answered." Preferred course of study?" He asked and I responded."Second choice?" He inquired again and I , responded, it went on and on.In the end I had my options filled in for the university of first, second and third choice universities, a polytechnic and a college of education. It
