Chapter Sixty

I tossed and turned as I laid on the comfortable bed. My mind was racing on its own and I was an emotional wreck. I felt heartbroken for no reason.

I didn't take cognisance of the mini fridge in the room and I got out of bed, ignoring my slippers as I walked barefooted into the kitchen, my toes slightly curled at the feeling of the cool tiles against my bare feet had me relaxed than earlier.

"Can't sleep?" A voice startled me as I got to the door of the stairs about to head into the kitchen not too distant.

"Ahh! You startled me." I let out a breath as my heart thumped hardly against my ribcage.

"Your living room looks like something out of a movie." I commented, slightly bedazzled by the blue lights contrasting beautifully with the white paint and the little star-like lights that were lodged above.
