Chapter Thirty-Four

I'd been on bedrest and close watch for a few days after I'd been discharged from the hospital and as uncomfortable the watch might have been,I preferred the scent of my room to the pungent one of the hospital bleach and antiseptic.

I was back to my usual self already except this slight dizziness that crept up occasionally, when I abruptly got off my bed and I staggered a bit for about five seconds as the black dots cleared out, and I tried to regain my balance.

Stalking towards the kitchen,I passed by Ruby eagerly speaking to Rose about something. Opening the refrigerator, the light came on and I picked up a bottle of water before closing it. I looked through the medical cabinet and took out some paracetamol and some vitamin c tablets before walking into my room.

It was evening already and I still had it in mind to convince my guardians that I was ready to return to school.

How is it that neither of them just went to eachother to verify the messages?? This is definitely fictional but based on their history, I’d think Emanuel would have at least gone that step further. IMO
