Abduction is a crime

Blair POV

I kept hearing the word "mate," but I had no idea what it was or why I heard multiple voices in my head. I had expected the car to hit me, but instead, it stopped before me, saving me from my immediate death. Beads of sweat trailed down my face as I stared at the limousine. My heart thumped wildly, as I had expected to be sent flying above the car, but I remained in the same spot.

"What a beautiful limousine," I thought as I stared at the vehicle, not trying to move away.

While admiring the car, I was suddenly pushed to the ground by another man dressed in a black cloak. He removed the sword he carried from his back and placed it on my neck. "How dare you stop the king’s car?"

"Please don't murder me!" I shouted, closing my eyes when the sword's edge was pressed against my neck. One wrong move, and it's bye-bye to my life.

I didn’t want that, so I pleaded for my life to be saved.

"Ashair, what the hell is your beta doing to our mate?" I heard the voices again. This time, the voice sounded angry. I fluttered my eyes open, thinking that someone had spoken again, but when I looked around, there was no one.

Maybe the people who had given the orders were in the car.

"Ashair! Order your beta to remove that sword right now!" The voice shouted, and it made me wonder who Ashair was. "Our mate is terrified, and..." The voice suddenly stopped talking.

"Let her go!" The man dressed in the brown Italian suit walked out of the car. His voice was the deepest that I have ever heard in all of my life. He takes slow steps toward me, and his appearance alone screams powers, and the aura around him proves he is someone of high status.

He must be their king, and I thought as I stared into his amber eyes.

The sword was removed from my neck, and I fell to my knees. I smiled at him, giving him a thumbs up, but all I met were his glaring eyes.

"Who do you think you are?" he yelled, motioning to the man with the bald head, "seize her, and I will pass judgment on her."

Judgment? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I thought he had saved me by letting me go, but he didn't; instead, he wanted to pass on his judgment.

"How?" I shouted as the bald man grabbed me. "What do you mean by judgment?" I yelled at the king.

"Your highness," the bald man said as he bowed his head. "Your highness, where should I keep her?" he asked.

Keep me? I was not a thing to be kept, so why in the hell would he even say something like that?

"Gamma Gary," the king called as he turned to face the bald man. "I will deal with the human when I return, but you stay here and make sure that you guide the portal in case any other human tries to breach in," he stated, then cast a glare at me. "On no account should you allow her to escape," he said, sounding like a warning but more like a threat.

"Yes, your highness," the balding man replied, bowing his head.

The crowd all stood up and began to disperse as the king made the announcement. "You," the king said, pointing at me.

I point to myself and look backward. Who the hell was he referring to?

"I don’t know how you found your way into this world, but when I am back, you will be forced to confess!" He then turned his back on me and walked back to the limousine.

I scoffed and pointed the finger at him."Emperor!" I shouted. "With all due respect, I didn’t do anything wrong because I remember being on the plane and suddenly..." I stuttered when he turned, and my eyes met his. He stared suspiciously at me as if I were a spy sent to kill him, just like in the movies. "I was in the plane..." my voice grew louder as I tried to explain what happened to him, but his eyes held such a powerful glare that I had to avert my eyes.

"Keep the human with you until I return," he said as he entered the car. A few seconds later, the limousine sped off with the convoys driving behind it.

I had never felt abandoned like that in my entire life as I watched the king ride away without turning back to look at me.

"Did you just ignore our mate?" The voices sounded again, and just like before, there was no one speaking, and the only person present at that moment was me and no one else.

"I can't believe you left our mate with other males!"

Were the voices in my head? I questioned myself as I continued to look around so I would not go crazy. "Did you happen to hear any voices?" I asked those who were around me. They exchanged looks among themselves, but none of them said a word. I was pushed toward the two previous men that were dragging me earlier.

"You could have, Mr. Bald Man..." Before I could finish, the bald man growled at me, making me stop talking at once, and I visibly gulped. He was intimidating, and because he resembled a giant, I wouldn’t want to get on his wrong side.

"Gamma Gary," one of the men holding me said, calling for his attention. "Where should we keep her now that the king has spoken?" he asked.

"Return her to her cell," Gamma Gary said. "Watch over her while I go keep watch over the portal."

At the mention of the portal, thoughts of how I had arrived in the land of the unknown appeared in my head. "Listen to me!" I shouted as they were about to start dragging me back. "You don’t have to lock me up because I know of a way that I can leave your land," I told them, and Gary furrowed his brows at me even though he looked like he was invested in what I was about to say. I explained my situation and flashed my lashes at him to show my cuteness, hoping he would listen and make me go.

Gary chuckled and moved closer to me. He leaned closer until his face was in front of me while I moved backward to avoid his scary face. "You must think you little human are in your stupid world," he grinned wickedly and whistled.

The men holding me started pulling me away. It must have been what the whistling meant. A sort of order from the bald man "Wait!" I shouted. "I have to go, please," I cried. "I can't miss my sister’s wedding as she expects me!" All of my screams and scratching fell on deaf ears as I was dragged back to the building that looked as if it was built using bricks. "You can't do this to me because I have a right, abduction is illegal, and..."

"Stop talking!" one of the men shouted at me as he pushed me forward into the house.

"You have no idea who you're dealing with," I threatened. "I'm a lawyer, and I'm going to sue you all, including your king," I sneered as I was shoved into a cell, and the door slammed in my face. "I am going to get all of you arrested because I must tell you that abduction is a great crime!"

One of the men hit the cell door aggressively and growled at me, just like the bald man.

What was with them and growling as if they were animals?

"If you have any idea where you are, then you will shut your mouth, but what do I know?" he scoffed. "You humans are always like this!"

"Always like this!" I retorted. It didn't feel very respectful. "Are you human?" I inquired.

He grinned at me, then started walking away. "Answer me!" I shouted at him.

"Trust me when I say that finding out will hurt you," he said as he began walking away from me, the second man trailing behind him.

‘’wait!’’ I hit my hand on the door. "Don’t leave me," I cried, tears rolling down my face as I tried hard not to scream. When it didn’t seem like they would reply, I fell to the ground and burst into tears.

Where the hell am I?
