Chapter 10: Follow Her

Cassandra POV:

"What?" I chuckled. What the hell was he thinking? That I would just agree to live with him after breaking up for seven years?

"Don't tell me that you think we're together just because we slept the other day. That was a mistake. That was a void. We're not together," I added and he seemed offended by my words.

I could sense the driver peeking at us through the rearview mirror. Ricky signalled him to drive faster. He talked no more and just looked out the window avoiding meeting my gaze. His expression was strange, looked as if he was disturbed about something. We arrived at the company and Ricky did not talk with me the rest of the day. I wondered if he was being moody because of the things I said to him in the car.

What would he expect anyway? That I would just fall into his arms and accept him again after he gave up on our relationship seven years ago. It was a painful experience for me, and now that I met him again, I didn't even know what to think. I didn't know if I
