I silently gazed out the car window, searching for something to look at among the colorful lights from the houses that illuminated the dark sky.

My boyfriend drove back to the hotel for nearly thirty minutes without saying anything at all. I'm not sure if I did something wrong here. He still has his infamous wrinkled forehead, which makes me wonder if I should open something we can talk about. I don't want to aggravate his rage, so even though it's awkward, I prefer to remain silent.

I'm bored with my head pressed against the window, still looking around when I notice a familiar location. When our car passed by it, I immediately got up and stared at it. "They also play music at night," I almost twisted my neck when I saw the musicians I used to play with.

I smiled as I remembered how much fun I had playing with them. They helped me rediscover a skill I had forgotten about.
