Chapter Nineteen

“I’m not leaving you, Austin. I just thought you might need some space, given what happened. I don’t know how you deal with stuff,” I cupped his face and he closed his eyes at my touch.

“Stay,” he whispered. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he hugged me like his life depended on it. I had no idea what he was going through but I could feel his pain and it brought more tears to my eyes. We stayed like that for what felt like an eternity before I broke the silence.
