After Divorce:Ex Husband's Regret.

Alison hurried inside the elevator, muttering curses to herself as she felt her breath pacing. "Stupid silly me. Why am I even here? What am I expecting to find?” It was her third year anniversary with the love of her life and husband, Brad Cambridge, but things hadn't been going well for her. For a start, Brad was a flirt. He had cheated on her so many times; with his secretary, their neighbor, staff at the supermarket they went to often, at the bank, everywhere! While she? She was his personal servant, and family servant as well. It wasn't like she was complaining, the Cambridge had done so much for her. A simple orphan who was helped by Brad. Still, she wondered if it was fair the way they treated her. But Brad said he would change, and she really wanted to believe him now. The elevator door opened to a bright space, and taking one step out, Alison felt her insides burning with anxiety. She got a message from an unknown number, telling her to go visit that hotel and see for

Brad felt like a complete idiot as he pronounced her name. How could that have been Alison? That poor orphanage who he catered for and fed, how could this be her with such a commanding tone? Lily was saying something but he quickly ran away, wanting to be on the call alone. "If this is you, Alison...I mean, how? Are you good? It's been so long!" "Wait a minute, where the hell have you been? You think it was cool of you to just disappear all this while! I tried to find you, I just couldn't--" "I believe I've made myself clear now. Leave the house, Brad. I'm no longer selling to you. Call this number again, and that'll only be a waste of time because I'm blocking it right this instant. Goodbye." "Wait, hold on a sec. How is this possible--hello? Are you still there?" The line had been disconnected before he knew it. Immediately, Brad dialed the number again. Nothing. "What the fuck! Did you actually block me?" He stared at his phone and scoffed in disbelief, "how dare you, Alis

Alison clicked on the light switch as she stepped inside. The whole room was a large beautiful space of silence. For a long while, Alison had been used to staying alone. While she was married to Brad, she would be by herself most of the time with Brad going off on some adventure and lying it was work. And when he started seeing someone, Alison knew too. But it just didn't make sense that someone would be Lily. She was supposed to be her best friend... The sound of her phone jolted her, "Mira?" Alison could not believe. "What part about privacy do you not understand? We're closed, it's goddamn late. No work stuff for crying out loud." Mira's voice was calm. "Ma'am, it's only past eight." Alison sighed. "Okay then, what's wrong? Your calls are always frightening, you know that right?" "Well...I'm sorry but this is frightening. Remember the Cambridge household, you canceled the deal for selling the mansion. I got a complaint that he's pissed off and is even making threats, ma'

Everything was happening all at once now. The irritating voice kept on calling her name, and poor Mira, who didn't know she was about to die by Alison! Kept on calling for her attention too. Suddenly, something overpowered Alison, and like a horror movie character being possessed by the devil himself, she began advancing to the door. Her purse was now clutching on to her arms as she reached for the door to shut it tight. "Wait there, I'm on my way." She said to whoever the hell was on the phone now. Whether Mira or Lily. The address of the bar was sent to her by Mira, and within a couple of minutes, the taxi arrived at the entrance. Why was she still feeling so enraged like this? She didn't even take a moment to heave in a deep breath before bouncing in like she owned the bar. She could feel a few faces fall on her as she walked in, but Alison was determined to find Mira and Lily. A familiar voice called out her name. Mira. When she turned, her eyes met with the demoness

Alison's mind had already began to race. That matter of urgency was giving her a heart attack already. What could have possibly gone wrong! Was it the Dark man raging war on her already! Because he was a local thug..no one messed with him. Once outside, she had already summoned confidence and was ready to deal with whatever she saw. Only to have found...big balloons. Lots of them! And some photographers all flashing their annoying lights at her. There were band singers and the whole place was indeed filled with crowded. It was like one of those moments when she wanted to do a photoshoot, or take pictures with the crowd. All of which are normally in her author's page account. But what was happening now! Then, like someone had made a million dollars deal with Santa, the gifts began to appear. There were huge men carrying boxes filled with presents and behind them, appeared Mira. She was smiling and cheering on! "This is to celebrate you! For being the best author in town, and wor
