In search of the truth

Rita’s story

The days passed and I was being held in this smelly warehouse. Or at least I thought it was a warehouse. I lost track of time, not knowing when is day or is night. Every once in awhile Sarah passes to see me, bring me food if I can call it food to a loaf of bread with a glass of water. But I was happy it was enough to survive this ordeal. Every time she entered the wooden door cracked load so I see it as a warning. I thought of freeing myself and run as fast as I can but in the end, fear takes over me and I change my mind. I don’t want to piss her off.

The door cracked again and her high heels echoed in the entire place.

- How is my little prisoner doing?

Why the sudden interest in me? There are moments when I don’t really care what happens to me as long as this lunatic is being caught and punished.

- Why do you care?

- Well, I don’t, I was making some conversation because I have to give you some fresh news.
