Evil plot

"Alexander." Ivy moaned, turning on her side to reach for him on the soft mattress.

He had made love to her with so much passion that she could never forget. She felt content that he was her first.

She still felt sore because they did not sleep until it was late into the night after they had gone four rounds. It marveled her that she had the energy to last that long.

Although she knew why. Alexander had taken his time to worship her body. By the time they were exhausted, she had fallen into the deep arms of sleep in the wee hours of dawn.

She trailed his hands on his soft mattress, reliving the incidents of the night before. Ivy's brows furrowed and her eyes fluttered open immediately.

He wasn't there. His side of the bed was cold which meant that he had been gone for a long time. But where?

A giddy smile crept on her face as she sat up and pulled the covers over her body. A night with him had made her forget everything about Jack's betrayal.

She darted her eyes to the clock on the bedside table. It was almost ten am. Luckily it was a weekend and she didn't have to go to work since she wasn't on duty.

Running her hands over her body, she was aroused and wanted to spend all day with him in bed. She knew he didn't desert her because she saw his suit jacket draped on the red sofa in the room. And because Alexander didn't appear to her a man who would do so.

She would wait for him. Her stomach growled in hunger as she stood up from the bed.

Suddenly she remembered that she had switched on her airplane mode in his car during the drive to the hotel after she had informed Piper of her whereabouts.

She grabbed it from the bedside table and switched it off immediately. Her phone pinged with different message notifications as soon as she put it on.

Ivy arched her brows in confusion when she saw the numerous text messages coming from just one sender- her father. Her heart raced in her chest. What could have made him call her?

Her eyes trailed to the last text which made her heart shudder in great fear.

'If by nine AM, you are not back in this house, I will disown you.'

She darted her eyes to the clock, it was almost ten thirty. There were nights she stayed over at Piper's apartment because it was closer to her workplace and also because she yearned for an escape from the house since she wasn't loved.

Her father never bothered to call her because he didn't care. So why was she spamming her with messages just on one night she decided to not come home? It was strange and she couldn't help but feel a pang of nervousness roil in her.

'Dear God, I hope all is well.'

She muttered those words as she dialed her father's number. Ivy paced the room in a panic, biting her bottom lip and steadying her breaths. He finally picked on the second ring.

"Pap…"

"You slut! You finally answered your phone. Where the heck have you been?" He growled.

Ivy knew he was very angry from his tone. But what confused her was why?

"Are you deaf!? Can't you speak? Anyways, I don't have to waste my time. Get back here and explain all what is going on." Her father raged on the phone, making her swallow her word.

"But what…"

"You have thirty minutes to take a cab from that godforsaken place back to my house. Is that clear!?" He roared.

"Ye-Yes." She stuttered.

He hung up on her.

Ivy swallowed and clenched her fists to steady her shaky hands. She threw her phone to her bed and dashed to the sofa to pick up her discarded cloth. There was no time to waste.

She dressed up immediately and arranged her things into her bag. She picked up her phone on the bed and headed for the door forgetting her silver studs. Her head was wrapped in a thick fog of confusion.

At the door, she swirled around to give the room one last lingering look. Wanton memories of the night before filled up her head. This room would forever remain special to her.

There, she had given him her innocence and he had loved her with a passion unmatched. They would meet some other time but at the moment, she had to know what was going on at home.

She turned and walked out.

She dashed to the elevator and ran out of the hotel as fast as her legs could carry her. Luckily a cab that had just dropped a passenger was about to drive off just as she descended the rows of stairs.

"Please take me to Crescent avenue as fast as you can." She pulled the door open without exchanging pleasantries.

She wasn't in the mood for one. Seeing her panicky state, the cab man nodded and sped off immediately.

In a few minutes he pulled the car over at Ivy's house. She alighted and paid him before dashing to the front door to knock.

"Here you are, big sister. If I were you, I wouldn't step into this house." Brandon smirked at her immediately as he pulled the door open.

She stared at him, still confused.

"With the look on your face, you don't know yet then." He added, happy to put her in suspense.

"What are you talking about? Why is father angry?"

"I…"

"Who is there?" Their father interrupted their discussion.

"Come in, big sister. I guess you will find out yourself." A sinister smile twitched on his lips as he opened the door fully for her to step in.

Brandon watched her as she walked through the entryway into the sitting area. If only she knew what awaited her, she wouldn't have come.

At least it was to his advantage.
