Leo’s heart skipped a beat. He had a bad feeling about this.

Nearly had her beaten to death? Defile her? Had he not told them to only put on a show?

He grabbed his superior’s sleeve. “Sir, what’s going on? I only wanted to scare her, just to teach her a small lesson. She… she didn’t get hurt, did she?”

His superior shook him off angrily. “She was nearly beaten to death, and you’re wondering if she got hurt? Luckily, Emma got there in time. If not, those thugs would have ruined her, and I wouldn’t be able to protect you no matter what!

“Leo, what’s wrong with you? Even if you have a problem with her, how could you let your wife pay people to go that far?”

Yara had told him she only meant to teach Yasmine a lesson.

Leo had agreed because he thought Yasmine’s temper had gotten out of hand, and she had stopped being obedient.
