CHAPTER ELEVEN

ALEX'S POV

I instinctively shrink away from him, my face burning.

"You stupid housekeeper, why didn't you mention that you couldn't swim?" He sounded so angry, his eyes blazing with fury.

I shrink further away from him.

"I'm sorry sir, I didn't know that swimming was a requirement for being a housekeeper. I'm so sorry sir."

I apologized profusely, feeling like I'd die in embarrassment.

"What would have happened if I was not close by?" He continued his beration and I felt stung. Tears gathered around my eyes. "Is that how you'd have died? By drowning? Oh come on! Get up quickly and go and change your wet clothes."

I bit my lips hard, to prevent it from trembling.

"I don't want to see you anywhere near this pool, until you've learnt the basis of swimming."

"Yes sir." I said in a shaky voice. I moved with shaky legs to the cottage and quickly got out of my wet clothes.

I changed into dry clothes. I was still trembling from my near death experience.

I got back to the house
