Chapter 13: Kayden
"So, how long have you known my best friend?" Caroline asks me. She's been here for an hour already. Mason and her had instantly hit it off and Aviana was happy to see how Caroline hasn't tried to murder me yet.
Aviana told me how Caroline wasn't happy with the marriage and she didn't necessarily like me either. According to Aviana, Caroline was intimidating but she was a really nice person when you really get to know her. But till now, she was still trying to judge me.
"I’ve known about her since before. I saw her around when we were preparing for my brother's wedding but I really am getting to know her now." I answer honestly as I glance at Aviana. She just smiles at me before she looks back at the TV screen. She was deciding on what to watch.

"Aviana?" I call out, knocking lightly on her door. It's been about an hour since Caroline and Mason left. And I can't take it anymore. I have to see her face. I have to make sure that she's alright. I leave my room to go to work when I hear a familiar sweet laughter coming from the kitchen, making me frown. Wasn’t she supposed to be in college by now?
