Scarlett:I sat as Maddie brushed my hair, leaving it to dry on its own.“Thank you for this, Maddie” I said, looking at her through the mirror. I knew that I wouldn’t have been able to do it for myself if I tried. Scarlett:I woke up when I didn’t feel Alexei laying on bed with me.Sitting up, I frowned, searching the room for him to find that he was out in the veranda.His back faced me as he stared into space, clearly lost in thought as his mind played everything that he has been dealing with.I winced in pain as I got out of bed. Alexei:I frowned when I woke up to find that Scarlett was nowhere to be seen. Her side of the bed was cold meaning that she has been awake for a while now, and rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I sighed when I checked my phone to find that it was a while past noon.I got up from bed and walked to the bathroom to freshen up, catching Scarlett’s scent in the house, knowing that she was safe somewhere downstairs with the other family members. Alexei:I frowned in confusion when I noticed that the house was completely quiet. No one was in the living room, and seeing as I couldn’t hear anyone walking around upstairs, I knew that the top floors were practically empty. If anything, the girls were literally nowhere to be seen, and the men were busy going about with their duties as if it was some long day. But fucking hell, it wasn’t just Maddie or Scarlett now, even mom and Aunt Sienna seemed to have disappeared.“They couldn’t have killed one another, right?” Dad asked, entering the living room. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow, not bothering to comment as I caught their scent in the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen and frowned in confusion when the smell of cake filled my nostrils.
