“What did you find?” Mr. Joseph asked his tone, somewhat harsher than usual. If anything, I could tell that he was angry, though what he was angry about I couldn’t understand, especially considering the fact that it wasn’t at the office and I couldn’t ask Drake, and considering the fact that he was with me throughout most of the day, I was thankful that he wasn’t going back to the office. He had a few things to tend to before that. So, at least you wouldn’t be having the lash out of Mr. Joseph.

I knew that he did not like me being at Alvize's mansion, especially considering the fact that he could not supervise what we were doing. He knew for a fact that Alvize would limit my connection with him, and though that was something that was going to give me somewhat of a freedom to work, it was not something that he liked. As my supervisor and boss, he knew that he had to be in control of what I did and what I did not do. It was what made him believe that he was superior to me.
