Alvize:

“And hello, to my little princess.” I said, smiling as I carried my niece in my arms.

Lia smiled as she looked at me, crossing her arms over her chest, watching as I handled her daughter with so much care. It was one of the only things that brought me back to this house, the little girl’s presence. Her green eyes met mine, and I couldn’t help the smile that formed on my lips when she giggled.

“How are you, Alvize? Lia asked, making me smile. I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her for a hug as I held her daughter in my left arm. Her little child was half the size of my bicep, and that was something that I couldn’t help but admire. How can a child so small be so vulnerable and yet be so enchanting and loving? I didn’t know, and in all honesty, I didn’t care about finding out.

“I’m fine, little wolf and you?” I said, knowing that she didn’t like the nickname that much.

“I am a mother, and yet, you’re still calling me a little wolf?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
