Chapter 13

Sienna:

I sat inside the car, looking out the window as Arturo cleared everything at the hospital.

His words played in my head, reminding me of my father’s words and the way that the man treated me.

The anger that I felt inside me was one that I couldn’t describe, and it wasn’t the fact that he said what he has. I knew that he was an Alpha, and I knew to respect his position as Alpha. It was the fact that he saw me as that weak female, and that was something that I was forced to live with under the same roof with my father who treated me as if I were some sort of abomination. It was something that I didn’t want to feel.

Arturo got inside the car without saying a word. He didn’t even bother looking at me, not that I expected him to do so. He started the car and drove off, however, I couldn’t help but notice that he wasn’t taking the road toward the Estate.

“Where are we going?”

“A different house. The two of us are going to be spending some time alone, and away from the family. At
