Now, if anyone would have told me that my days could have gotten harder, I would have shaken my head and shook them off.

In my head, nothing could beat how hard things were for me; however, now, I doubted that my life could be getting any easier. If anything, at this point, I genuinely believed that it would be impossible for that to happen.

However, now was not the time to dwell on that, Arturo and I had a plan to fulfill, and me being weak was not going to do so.

I walked out of the bathroom with a heavy heart at what was going to happen.

I didn’t even know what to expect or who this Marcus was, but I knew for fact that they wouldn’t leave things to be as easy or simple as they were. This was Eli that we were talking about. That woman has made sure to make my life hell simply because she hated my existence.

Though she was never one to really say it out loud. I knew that her anger came from the fact that I looked somewhat like my mother. In her mind, me being his daugh
