CHAPTER EIGHT
The WarningBlair was lost in thought as she and the other slaves were led back to the cell. She couldn't shake off what she had seen in the woods - the prince, Ralph, making out with one of the maids. She knew it was dangerous to have witnessed that, and she feared that they would come for her.She knew they would want her to keep that as a secret and they would come for her. She couldn’t stop the feeling that kept lingering at her, the feeling that she was in danger and these people would come for her just to make her speak. As they were pushed into the cell, Blair's mind was racing with different thoughts. She tried to keep her composure, but her heart was pounding with fear. She couldn't believe what she had seen - the prince, who she had only seen once, was there, in the woods, with one of the slaves.Blair knew really well that they would come for her, she knew she couldn’t escape that and she was scared of what they might do to her. Blair knew they would want her to be silence and what they could do to make sure that she was silent made her so scared. What if they hurt her? What if they do the same thing they did to Liza to her? She was so scared.Blair couldn't help but wonder how long this had been going on and how many other slaves the prince had used for his own pleasure. She knew that if she was caught, she could face serious consequences. She was confused, was the prince having an affair with that one maid or there were other maids that he does that with. She tried to keep calm as she lay down on the cold, hard floor of the cell, but the image of Ralph and the maid kept playing in her mind. She didn't know what would happen to her if they found out, but she was sure that it wouldn't be good.Blair's heart was pounding with fear as she thought about what she had witnessed in the woods again, the thought and images won’t leave her head. She felt vulnerable and exposed, like she was a target for something she couldn't understand. The uncertainty of her safety and what could happen to her consumed her thoughts. Every step she took, she couldn't breath she breathe, the feeling of being watched or followed lingered on. Her hands were shaking and her breathing was shallow, she felt like she was going to pass out at any moment. She knew that she had stumbled upon a dangerous secret, and the consequences of being caught could be dire. She didn't know who to trust or where to turn, and the thought of being locked up in this dirty cell for the rest of her life made her stomach churn. All she could do was pray and hope that somehow, she could find a way out of this situation. As Blair sat there, her mind racing through different thoughts, she saw a guard walk into the cell, his face long and his stare was so intimidating. The guard looked around he stopped when his eyes met hers.“Yes you,” he said and walked to Blair, he pulled her up from the floor forcefully, “Come with me,” he dragged her out.“Where are you taking her to?” Emily shouted at the guard who stopped and gave her a horrible look.“You had better sit there without uttering another word, do what is good for you slave,” he warned and dragged Blair out.As the guard dragged her away, she knew there was something wrong and something was about to happen, but she couldn’t really tell what it was.“Where are you taking me to?” Blair shouted, “Why am I the only one you are pulling out, I did nothing wrong,” she screamed.“Just keep quiet and follow me, or I slap you hard,” the guard yelled at her, “You have no idea what is about to happen to you,” he added.Blair’s heart skipped multiple beats in a second, what was going to happen to her? What was he going to do to her?Blair knew for a fact that something was about to happen and she also knew that it was because of what she saw couple of minutes ago.Blair shook in fear, what would they do to her? She already knew that she was in danger and she got more confirmation with what the guard said. What was prince Ralph going to do to her? She didn’t know what her fate was and that made her so scared.“Please let me go,” she begged.“Just keep quiet and follow me!” He yelled.Blair's heart was beating fast as the guard kept dragging her along the corridors. She felt helpless and vulnerable, like a prey being led to its predator. Her mind raced with thoughts of what could happen to her. She wondered if they were taking her to the prince or they were only going to pass a judgement on her. She prayed that it wasn't the latter, knowing that she might get spared if she promises to keep her mouth closed about what she saw.Blair's legs felt weak, and she stumbled a few times as the guard pulled her roughly. Her mind was in a blur, and she couldn't think straight. All she could do was hold on to the guard's hand and beg him to let her go. But he was unrelenting, and Blair knew that there was no point in resisting. She knew that she had to face whatever awaited her, and that scared her the most. The uncertainty of her fate and the fear of the unknown made her feel helpless. She wished that she could go back to her old life, where everything was predictable and safe. But now, she was in a world where danger lurked around every corner, and she didn't know if she would make it out alive.Blair gasped when she saw the maid she caught with the prince from afar. She knew it, she knew the guard was taking her to them.“Eben, excuse us for some minutes,” she said to the guard who stepped away from us.“And you,” she smiled and grabbed my arm, “I have nothing much to say to you, I just want to warn you against what you are planning. Keep whatever you saw back there a secret. Is that clear?”Blair nodded, her heart raced as she listened to the maid's warning. She was terrified and didn't know what to do. The thought of being killed for what she saw was too much for her to bear. She nodded her head again, indicating that she understood the maid's warning. The maid continued to speak in a hushed tone, telling Blair that she had seen too much and that the prince couldn't afford to have her spreading rumors about what she had seen. She advised Blair to keep her mouth shut and not tell anyone about what she saw.“If you make any attempt to speak, then the prince won’t think twice before cutting off your tongue, you won’t be able to say a word again,” she laughed.Blair was overwhelmed with fear and didn't know what to do. She felt trapped and alone in this strange world. She wanted to go back to her old life, to the familiar comforts of her home and family. As the maid finished speaking, the guard returned to take Blair away. She knew that she had to be careful and keep her head down if she wanted to survive. She had to find a way to escape from this place and get back to her old life.Blair was taken back to the cell where she sat up at one corner, her arms around her as she was lost in deep thoughts. One of her friends, Emily, walked up to her and held her, asking what was wrong, but Blair couldn't bring herself to tell them what happened. She was afraid that if she spoke up, it would only make things worse for her. She had been warned to keep her mouth shut, else she was going to regret it, she couldn’t afford to put her life or anyones life in danger. As they sat there in silence, Blair's mind raced with thoughts of how she could possibly escape and get back to her own world. She didn't belong here, and she couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of her life as a slave in this place. Her fear and uncertainty were overwhelming, and she couldn't help but wonder what her fate would be. Would she be punished for what she saw? Would they try to hurt her or even kill her?Blair knew she had to be strong and find a way to survive, but it seemed impossible in this cruel world. All she could do was pray for a miracle and hope that somehow, she would find a way out.Chapter NinetyLess Than Five DaysPicking up his shaky legs one after the other, Ashier made his way to the dining room, his steps were slow and unsteady. The aroma of the breakfast dishes filled the air, tempting his senses, but as he sat down to eat, his appetite had diminished. The food on his plate seemed tasteless, the flavors dulled by the weight of his deteriorating condition. His head spun with dizziness, intensifying his struggle to focus on the meal before him. He picked at the food, unable to bring himself to take a single bite. Each morsel felt heavy in his mouth, as if infused with a bitter reminder of his own mortality. He couldn't eat the food, he stared at the plate his fork moved in a circular motion as different thoughts raced through his mind. Thoughts of the condition he was in swept through his head.Restlessness gnawed at his thoughts, the realization sinking in that the countdown he had been given did not guarantee him a full seven days of life. It was just a r
CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINELast Five DaysThe soft morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. The rays danced across the furniture, painting delicate shadows on the walls and floor. As the room slowly came to life, Ashier's eyes fluttered open, one after the other, to behold the peaceful scene.Beneath him, Blair lay sound asleep, her head nestled against his chest. A tender smile curved his lips as he traced his fingers gently through her silky hair. In that quiet moment, his heart swelled with a mixture of love, gratitude, and bittersweetness.Memories from the previous day flooded his mind, filling him with warmth and joy. From their intimate moments of pleasure to the grand dinner where he revealed Blair's family, every detail played vividly in his thoughts. The dance they shared, the tears of happiness that adorned Blair's face when she saw her loved ones again—each memory held a special place in his heart, and he hoped it was the same for Blair. He
CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHT Fulfilling Her WishAshier stood up slowly beside Blair who was already fast asleep, and he walked slowly into the bathroom gently and silently so he wouldn’t wake her up. He stood under the shower and turned on the water, letting it roll down his body as he relived the moment of their lovemaking which happened almost an hour ago.He quickly took his bath and stepped out of the bathroom, he needed to find a way to fulfill Blair’s wish, there must be a way to do that and he wanted to do that, before they set out for the feast and the dinner. He walked into the closet and picked up the clothes which she picked for him, he quickly got dressed and walked back to her on the bed.He leaned in and kissed her softly on her forehead.Blair turned and opened her eyes, as if it was the kiss that woke her up, she rubbed her eyes as it was still blurry to see Ashier in her front, fully dressed.“Did I wake you up?” Ashier asked, concern etched on his face, he didn’t mean to w
CHAPTER EIGHTY-SEVENMoment Of Pleasure“I will see to that,” Ashier murmured, vowing and making a promise to her and to himself silently to fulfill her wish.He pulled back and held her hand, “We have to go prepare for the feast,” he smiled as they headed for the room.Blair kept looking around as they walked to the room, she saw the big pool which was at the center of the room and smiled, this was the exact type of mansions she has seen in books and in pictures, she thought it was all picture and imagination, she never knew that such house truly existed.Ashier held her hand tightly, as he thought about the way to fulfill Blair’s wish, it was a hard one, but he still wanted to try his best to fulfill it. It was one of the ways not to ever make her forget this moment, but how would he take her to see her mom and her siblings? How would he do something like that?He sighed as they walked, giving it a deep thought.Hand in hand, Ashier and Blair got the door of the room, he pressed on
CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX The FeastBlair couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude and excitement for what lay ahead of them. The house had surpassed her wildest dreams, it offered a haven where their love and dreams could flourish. She knew they would be out of this place in the next three days, and back to the place, but they could still make some memories her.She had a big smile on her face as she looked around, wishing and imagining how they would come here with their kid after the delivery, she imagined coming back to the mansion to have the family alone time and she couldn’t help but feel elated and excited for that time.Ashier turned to the maid, “Let’s have a feast!” He declared. The maids bowed and made their way into the big and spacious kitchen, getting ready for the feast, the sound of plates and cutleries clasping against each other only made the moment more exciting, and it made Blair look forward to the feast and the delicious delicacies the maids were going to make. She
