Alpha Axel: The Alpha of Revenge

“Axel, come on! We need to hurry up, or they’ll catch up to us.” Sebastian patted me on the shoulder as I looked in the direction that I came from one last time. It was way too far that I couldn't see our pack anymore, only the smoke that swirled into the sky. The place I’ve been living in for the last 20 years is about to be burned to nothing but ashes and dirt.

“I’ll be back,” I said to myself and turned around to join Sebastian.

My father was the Alpha of the pack. Our family had been in charge since forever until recently, Logan, the orphan my father took in twelve years ago, had mustered up a bunch of our trusted allies to brutally murder my father in his sleep and imprison my mother.

Logan was brought home by my father after the Blood War. He was the son of our enemy pack, but my father took him in because he was deemed as an innocent child. We were once great friends, brothers even. But when my father decided to pass down the Alpha title to me and not to him, he drastically changed. We’ve been hostile ever since, but what he has done is way beyond me. We gave him a home, a family, and now he’s betraying the people who had saved his life.

I remembered being woken up by Sebastian, my incoming Beta, and my best friend.

“We need to leave, NOW.” He handed me my sword and elbowed me to get up. There was smoke and fire, accompanied by the sound of children crying and women screaming. We ventured into the deep forest, having no idea where to go. We just kept walking and walking because we knew this was not our time to die; we had a job to fulfill.

Yesterday, I was the future Alpha of the Silver Raven pack, and now I am a rogue. My father’s blood had soaked the sheets on their bed, and my mom, the dignified Luna, was held captive in Logan’s prison. This is an ignominy to our family‘s name, and I shall seek my revenge.

However, that was easier said than done. After days of walking, we came across uncle Richard, my father’s gamma, and my once trusted uncle, who tried to kill us to win the favor of Logan.

Everything flashed back in my mind—the days I spent in the woods training with uncle Richard, the words my father said to me about being a great Alpha to the pack, the time my mom cried when I insisted on sliding off the handrail and broke my leg. All of the happy memories that’ll only serve as memories from now on.

Just when the last bit of consciousness was about to leave my body, I heard a silvery female voice.

“Who are you to fight in my territory?”

I saw a girl in red with a ponytail descending from the sky, her ivory face getting closer and closer to me.

Wait, what? Am I dead? Am I in heaven now? Is she… an angel?!
