Sorry I missed yesterday was busy will the funeral services. So we are back with an interesting chapter with our goofy and maybe a little slow on the uptake Mitchum. Let me know what you think. Don't forget to check out my socials for important updates. Thanks for reading Gals and Pals! -A :)
Mitchum POV She cleared her throat causing me to look over at her, “Is that an offer then Gamma?” What the fuck was she even saying? “Yeah right.” I said and stalked off towards the kitchen wondering if there were any apples in the fruit bin. I could hear that she moved to the dining area, “You aren’t interested in ‘Enjoying the fun life’ Gamma Mitchum?” she said and I’ll be damned if the sultry sound in her voice didn’t turn me on. I adjusted my jeans and grabbed a green apple out of the bin before replying, “Not even if there were two of you standing there half naked and willing.” This chick was fucking crazy, I have only ever respected one thing wholly in my entire life and that was the mate bond. I can’t really say why, but I did. I leaned back against the counter top and bit into the apple. It was tart and crisp and very juicy. As I slurped at the juices and licked what had run down my arm, I couldn’t help but think how I should see if Debbie was up for another roll. Sure Deb
Baylor POV I never thought the day would come that I would be the ‘principal’ and still have animosity about being called to the ‘office.’ Alpha Colin and I were in the middle of helping several of the others hoist one of the side walls for the new training center into place when I got the mind-link from Machieste requesting my presence at the training grounds to handle an issue that required not only me but the entirety of the leadership. I quickly told Alpha Collin that we needed to go and the mind-linked Delania, Kenneth, Phoebe, Clive, Fiadh, and I tried Mitchum, but he had me blocked. I had no idea what kind of problem would require us all, but rushed to the scene of the chaos. When I got to the training grounds it was kind of comical really. Okay totally not comical if you’re in the situation but being young myself, I recognize Big Ball Syndrome when I see it. This is the time of day when the junior warriors train and apparently today is apparently the day for big egos. Nine,
Baylor POV I expected Siobhan to be pissed, I even expected her to take a swing at me but I didn’t expect full blown rage. “YOU’RE PLANNING TO USE MY CHILDREN AS BAIT?” she screeched as she shoved me back. “Listen Siobhan, I…” CRUNCH! I saw stars as her fist plowed into my nose and I felt the blood begin to trickle down onto my lip. I hear footsteps running in our direction and vaguely see that Dane is running to my aid. ‘Stop!’ I mind-link him as Siobhan plants her fist in my gut. If I had eaten lunch before this, I am fairly certain it would have made an appearance. I doubled over and tried again, “Listen Siobhan, I would never put the pups in danger. You know that,” I growled through gritted teeth. “You want to use my children as an educational tool!” she growled back. I stood up and looked her dead in the eye, ‘Marlon is my responsibility too and if you think I would jeopardize another pack by harming their Alpha, then we don’t know each other at all.’ “I’ll be back in a few m
Baylor POV Not gonna lie, I am hurt deeply. I don’t want to speak with Siobhan right now. I admit the idea was crazy and on the surface looked like it could be problematic. The thing is I was trying to make it realistic for the junior warrior group. Miss Nora and the pups would not have been harmed, I wouldn’t have allowed it. But the fact that Siobhan didn’t trust me after all we have been through together since she came, was a bitter pill to swallow. I guess that’s my fault for believing that others could clearly see my point of view. That’s fine though, I have faced worse in my life and will gladly do so again. Most of these people were strangers a little more than a month ago, so why should they trust me? I couldn’t think of a reasonable answer to that as I continued to sulk. Sparring against Dirk hadn’t given me as much of a release as I thought it would though and I still had this pensive feeling deep in my gut. Used to be when things got too heavy the guys and I would roll a
Just a really quick note to let you know I will be back with more Baylor on Sunday/ Monday. There was an unforseen emergency I had to tend to. Sometimes life just happens and not everything is within our control. November has just been a series of unfortunate events. I do appreciate your patience and am looking forward to bringing you more Baylor and the rest of the wonderful characters from Skatom Mochian in beautiful Ireland. We'll start off action packed and keep rolling full steam once we return. Again thank you so much for your patience. My apologies. -A :)
Baylor POV Somehow I have been expecting something like this to happen. We have run out of time to be prepared because now it is here. I stepped in front of Delania to shield her somewhat from the carnage and scanned the area, listening and looking for any movement or sound. I don’t see anything off other than the horrific sight in front of me. This was depraved, whoever did this had not only killed these warriors, they had ripped them to shreds and scattered them about like some deranged child who rips the heads of their dolls. ‘Baylor, who would do something like this?’ Delania asked through the mind-link. ‘I don’t know baby, but we’ll find out. Are you alright? There would be no shame in stepping away from this mess,’ I was trying to console her because I could feel her emotions through our bond. ‘No Baylor, I’ll be alright. It’s just a lot to process,’ she murmured through the link and pressed Sarafina’s body closer to Shammus. I could hear the two closest patrols approaching q
Baylor POVI remained acutely aware for the remainder of the time that the fire burned. I scanned the area watching for any unusual movement and listening for anything that would be out of place. I had been in constant contact with Mitchum regarding patrols and currently patrol squads consisted of eight rather than four managing the territory in quarters. In addition we had two squads doing full perimeter runs in opposite directions of one another. The setup essentially meant that at times we could have as many as sixteen warriors in one place. The theory was that it would give patrols a fighting chance against would be attackers and give them the ability to call for backup. It wasn’t fool proof, but I had to believe that it was the best improvement we could make quickly. When we returned to the central part of the territory Delania along with Phoebe and Fiadh headed for the packhouse to make coffee and prepare refreshments that would be delivered to the patrols. Kenneth, Clive and
Baylor POV Why is it that three simple words can make me feel like absolute shit? I wasn’t the one who lost my cool, but I certainly feel like the asshole in the situation. “Listen Mit, just mind-link Dane and get him in here to help you properly schedule the patrol shifts. I have to take care of something and then go check in on my girl,” I said as I picked up my coffee and headed towards the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen several of the workers were bustling around doing various tasks to get breakfast served. Siobhan seemed to be manning the stove and the only other major task seemed to be cutting up fruit. So I walked over to the person cutting fruit and took the knife and continued slicing up the oranges. “Everyone can have a fifteen minute break while I have a conversation with the house manager,” I said and the other workers scurried out of the room quickly. “You know neither of us were right in that situation. I was wrong not to speak to you beforehand and I freely
