Alpha Clause and Fay stood up from the couch as Selene and Thomas came to stand in front of them.
"Hello Alpha Clause, we are delighted to have you as our Fay's mate." Thomas said with a grin on his face as he looked from Fay to Alpha Clause. He stretched out his hand to Alpha Clause. The Alpha let go of Fay's hand to shake her dad's hand.
"Hello, it is my utmost pleasure to be Fay's mate." He replied with a small smile.
"Do you plan on taking her with you tonight?" Thomas asked since it was in their tradition for the male to take his mate back to his home at the time they meet.
"Yes, we will be going right after greeting you." He answered as his gaze went to Fay who was watching their interaction along with Selene before it went back to Thomas.
"Very well, you should know that Fay is a Queen and you should treat her that way." Thomas said as Selene took hold of Fay's wrist and led her out of the living room.
"Yes, I understand, Sir." She heard Alphas Clause answer her dad as they stepped out of the living room.
Selene let go of her wrist and faced her, "Fay, I want to talk to you about being with your mate. I know we have had this talk many times before, but there are still some things I haven't told you about."
"Yeah, I know. I didn't know that the pull towards your mate is so strong."
"Yes, I didn't tell you that either. The need to mate with your mate is just as strong and I'm sure that you can feel it too. Alpha Clause should be feeling it stronger than you since he is a Lycan." Selene explained.
"But should we follow our wolves and mate right away?"
"Yes, it is highly encouraged to do that as soon as you meet your mate, right after the personal mating ceremony. This is because you will let everyone know that they are yours once you mark and mate them." Selene answered Fay just as Alpha Clause walked out of the living room followed by Thomas, bringing their talk to an end.
"Don't worry, I will take good care of Fay." Alpha Clause said as he looked between Thomas and Selene.
They both smiled and Thomas said, "We trust that you will, Alpha. Come visit us anytime soon."
As Thomas said the last part, he glanced at Fay then looked back at Alpha Clause. "Yes, we will."
"And hopefully with new pups about to come." Selene added with a chuckle, Thomas chuckled with her as Fay blushed and Alpha Clause smiled.
Fay turned to her mom and dad, "I will miss you two, good night. I will call you first in the morning."
Thomas wrapped her up in a bear hug and pulled back, "Okay, we're going to miss you too, Fay."
Selene hugged her too then released her, "Good night, sweetie. I'll be waiting for your call tomorrow. Have a safe journey."
Fay nodded with a small smile and both Selene and Thomas looked to Alpha Clause. They didn't meet his eyes since he was still their Alpha, "Good night, Alpha."
"Good night, it was wonderful meeting you." Alpha Clause replied as Fay moved closer to stand beside him.
Thomas and Selene nodded as he turned around and opened the door. He walked out of the door with Fay beside him to the limo. She glimpsed back at her parents to see them standing at the door, watching them. They waved at her and she raised her hand and waved at them too. She smiled wider and turned back around just as they reached the limo.
Alpha Clause opened the door and held it open for her and she climbed in. He climbed in next to her and shut the door. The driver started the car to High Valley as she looked out the window, getting lost in her thoughts. High Valley was the area Alpha Clause lived which was still in their town as Alpha Clause was their part of the land's Alpha.
Their lands were divided into four parts; The South, West, East and North. Each had their Alpha, South was ruled by Alpha Sloan, West was ruled by Alpha Wyatt, North was ruled by Alpha Nathan, East was ruled by Alpha Clause. Alpha Mason was the leader of The Five so he maintained the peace and order of the land, and made sure everything was under control.
The Five ruled their lands because they were the only remaining heirs of the First Lycans except for Alpha Ross who went Rogue. Werewolves were originally made from Lycans who were the more powerful and superior form of werewolves. The Lycans used to mate amongst themselves until some of them started finding their mates among humans. They gave birth to Lycans and werewolves.
The Lycans have more Lycan blood in them and are more powerful than the werewolves. The werewolves are less powerful lycans because of the higher amount of human blood that flows through them. When Lycans mate with werewolves, they can give birth to Lycans and werewolves depending on how much Lycan blood flows through them. When two werewolves mate, they give birth to only werewolves.
Children between werewolves and humans are either werewolves or humans, also depending on the amount of Lycan blood in them. Fay's parents were both werewolves, so she was only a werewolf, but since her mate was a Lycan, that meant she was a born leader, Luna. The mate of Alphas are called Luna as they lead their packs alongside them.
Alpha Clause's parents were both Lycans as she heard while growing up, unlike the other four Alphas that were from Lycan and werewolf parents. That meant he was stronger and more powerful than them, but why wasn't he the leader of The Five? Fay has always wondered about that, maybe it was because Alpha Mason was older or Alpha Clause grew up in High Valley and didn't want to leave there? Now that she was his mate, she could ask him and put an end to her curiosity.
Kaden looked a bit surprised while Carter smiled as he took the container from me, "Thank you, Luna.""Yeah, thanks, Luna Fay." Kaden added as he got over his shock."No problem." I replied to them and grabbed the third transparent plastic container filled with snacks out of the four that we brought. I was glad that Kaden was getting comfortable in the pack and genuinely trying to help us. I hoped that he wouldn't betray us, I also hoped the same for his friend back at the pack house.I stood up and made my way to the Lunas, noticing that Luna Ashley still hasn't returned and it was getting darker. As I sat down beside Luna Kasey, the two stopped talking and faced me with smiles on their faces. I grinned at them as I opened the container, grabbed a hot dog and passed it over, "Here, for dinner.""Thanks so much, Luna Fay. We didn't even think of bringing any food." Luna Kasey said with a smile on her face as she took the container from me and grabbed a samosa."Yeah, thank you, Luna F
I drew in a breath and let it out as the two came to sit beside me on the fallen tree branch, "Yeah, I understand what you mean.""I just feel bad for Luna Hailey that she passed away without finding out Luna Ashley's true colors." I added as I looked over at her limp body still in Alpha Sloan's arms. He looked torn and I wasn't sure if he could even go on without her."It's how fate wants it to be, so let's hope that it's for the best." Luna Kat replied to me as she wrapped her arms around herself."Yeah, let's hope so." Luna Kasey added just as a pigeon cawed as it flew towards us.It landed on Alpha Clause's shoulder which made him realize that there was a note strapped on its leg. Bailey and Rachel must have tried calling our phones and found out that there was no signal then decided to send a letter through a pigeon. My thought was proven right when Alpha Clause made his way to me to tell me what the letter was about. As he reached me, I noticed a concerned look on his face."Thi
"I have a lighter." Alpha Nathan answered me as he started pulling the lighter from his pants pocket. I wondered why he had one, did he smoke? Wow, appearances could really fool people because he didn't look like someone that smoked."Wait, what if we draw more witches or danger if we make a fire?" Luna Kasey asked, looking concerned.Alpha Clause shook his head as he answered her, "We have already wounded the witches badly and scared them away, so I don't think that they will be coming back anytime soon. And as Fay has pointed out earlier, there are no animals in this forest.""That's right, besides, we need the light to see and to warm us for the night." Alpha Mason added as he nodded."Alright then, I guess this is for the best." Luna Kasey muttered as she let out a sigh."Yes, it is, babe." Alpha Nathan replied to her as he took her hand in his and gave her a comforting squeeze.Alpha Clause glanced at me as he took his arm from around me and stood up from the fallen tree branch,
"This way, I see a path." Carter said as he gestured towards a path that led into the forest."Okay." Alpha Clause muttered while the rest noddedI glanced at Carter and then Alpha Clause, "Alright, I hope it leads to the Lake of Eversea."Me too." He added with a worried nodWe started making our way towards it while looking around and being cautious as we tried to notice any traps or anything like that. I frowned as I realized something as we continued walking deeper into the forest, "It's too quiet, I've never seen a forest as quiet as this one before."Me neither, but what could possibly be the reason?" Alpha Clause asked as he looked around, looking like he was thinking more on it"There must be no animals because the witch from earlier said that if she can't eat us, she would have to eat fruits." I answered his question as I glanced at him"How is that even possible?" Luna Kasey asked in wonder as she looked around the forest along with all of us"I think-" Alpha Mason started,
The witch let out a sigh as she raised her hand, muttering, "Now, I have no food to eat. If only more of you came here every so often, I wouldn't be stuck eating fruit all the time."She moved her fingers and the small black snakes slittered off of their shoulders and to the ground then glided over to her. They all glided into her black dress and blended into it. I was amazed, yet horrified at such magic, but I was also curious about what she said, so I asked her, "Why won't you leave this forest then if there's no food here? She looked at me, feeling surprised that I heard her mutterings, probably, not aware of my werewolf hearing. However, she tightened her lips and answered me, "I am bound to this forest forever, that is how it is, I don't remember anything besides being in this forest and eating any living thing that comes in here and gets trapped in my illusion."Then I wish that you will be able to leave someday and be free." I said to her, sincerely as I saw Alpha Clause and th
"Yes, we will protect each other." I murmured to him, making him glance back at me and our eyes clashed. My lips stretched into a wide smile, feeling glad for his care as my cheeks flushed in a blush at his intense stare. However, our attention was pulled away before we got too lost in each other's eyes."Yeah, that's right. We will protect them no matter what." Alpha Nathan added as he took his hand off of Luna Kasey's shoulder to hold her hand in his own.She smiled back at him as she replied, "I know you will!""And so don't be scared, we won't let anything harm you in there." Alpha Sloan said in a promise as he looked at Luna Hailey with a reassuring smile. She smiled back at him as she nodded, "I know you won't."Kaden and Carter stayed so quiet as they only observed us that I almost forgot that they were there. It made me wonder what was going through their heads as they stood silently in our midst of couples."Now, let's get going before the afternoon passes." Alpha Wyatt said
