Seraphina’s Pov
I was dripping wet and the ceremony hadn't even started yet.
My fingers gripped the edge of the vanity as I stared at myself in the mirror while my thighs pressed together. I needed some kind of relief from the ache between my legs that had been getting worse for months now.
The white ceremonial dress clung to every curve I had developed over the past year, and the thin fabric showed my hard nipples pushing against it because I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Dimitri.
My guardian who would probably kill me if he knew what I was thinking right now, which was how badly I wanted him to bend me over this vanity and take me hard from behind while I watched in the mirror.
I was sick. The man raised me for two years, but at this point, I didn't care anymore.
My body burned for him in ways that made me touch myself every night, while I bit my pillow so nobody would hear me moan his name.
"Stop it, Seraphina," I whispered to myself, but my body didn't listen because just thinking about his massive hands, and how they would feel wrapped around my throat, while he pushed inside me made more wetness pool between my legs.
I knew my panties were completely soaked through.
He was so strict with me and never let any unmated male even look at me too long before he would growl and step in front of me.
His huge body that made me feel small, protected and desperately horny all at the same time.
Last week, he caught Drew talking to me near the training grounds and he grabbed him by the throat, throwing him across the field as his eyes turned red.
I had to race all the way to my room because watching him get violent and possessive over me made me so wet that I thought I would leave a puddle on the ground.
The worst part was how he never touched me except for necessary things like helping me up if I fell during training, but even those brief moments when his skin met mine sent electricity through my whole body.
Sometimes, I would pretend to stumble just so he would catch me with those massive arms and I could smell his scent of pine and whiskey that made me want to drop to my knees and beg him to use my mouth however he wanted.
"You're going to hell, Seraphina." I told my reflection, but I was already rubbing my thighs together again thinking about how he looked yesterday when he came back from patrol.
He was shirtless and sweaty with his black hair sticking to his forehead and his gray eyes scanning the pack house until they landed on me.
I swear they got darker before he turned away and disappeared into his office where he probably stayed to avoid me like he had been doing for months.
Did he have any idea what he did to me when he used his Alpha voice during pack meeting?
Everyone would submit, while I would sit there, fighting not to moan because his dominance made my whole body ache to submit to him in completely different ways than pack hierarchy demanded.
Did he notice how I always sat with a pillow on my lap during those meetings because I was terrified everyone would smell how aroused his commands made me?
"Please let him be my mate." I whispered to the Moon Goddess even though I knew it was wrong, twisted and probably impossible, but I didn't care.
I would rather die than watch him mate someone else and have to listen to him claiming another woman, while I touched myself and pretended it was me underneath him, taking his knot.
The door opened and I jumped, my hands flying to smooth down my dress as Natasha walked in with a warm smile that made me relax. She was the only mother figure I had since my parents died.
"Look at you, sweet girl," She flashed me a wide smile as she came up behind me.
She began fixing my long silver blonde hair into the traditional ceremony style while her green eyes met mine in the mirror.
"You're absolutely glowing tonight and the dress fits perfectly on that beautiful body of yours."
"Thank you, Natasha." I blushed, trying to calm my breathing because I was still throbbing between my legs. I prayed she couldn't smell how aroused I was.
"I'm just nervous about shifting for the first time and maybe finding my mate, if the Moon Goddess decides I'm worthy."
She hummed, braiding sections of my hair with gentle fingers that had done this so many times when I was young, scared and missing my parents.
"Every wolf finds their mate eventually, darling and yours will be special because you're special. I know someone has been watching you specifically, and who knows? He could turn out to be your mate."
My heart instantly skipped a beat at her words. Could she be talking about Dimitri? Did Natasha know about all the filthy thoughts that had been filling my head about her brother?
"What do you mean?" I asked warily, the blush on my cheeks intensifying.
Natasha just smiled and continued working on my hair, while I watched her in the mirror, wondering exactly what she was talking about.
"My brother has been very protective of you, hasn't he?" She said casually and my heart skipped another beat. She really was talking about Dimitri.
My face burned and I had no idea what to say but she was not done talking.
"He is a little bit rough around the edges, but Mikhail is a good person.” She said and my heart instantly sank low in my chest. She was talking about her younger brother.
Mikhail was the third of the Volkov siblings and I honestly didn’t care for him. The only one I had my eye on was Dimitri. The one man I couldn’t have.
Natasha held out her hand, helping me stand.
"Come now. Everyone is waiting. The moon will reach its apex soon which means your shift will begin and then we'll all see what the Moon Goddess has planned for you tonight."
I took her hand and let her lead me toward the door while my heart pounded. In less than an hour, I would shift for the first time and possibly find my mate.
All I could think about was whether Dimitri would be there, watching me with those steel gray eyes that haunted my dreams.
We walked down the hallway toward the ceremonial grounds and I could hear the pack gathering outside while the full moon rose higher in the sky.
Natasha squeezed my hand as we reached the door and I could smell him before I saw him, because that pine and whiskey scent hit me so hard my knees almost buckled.
He was standing at the north point of the circle in his ceremonial Alpha robes and when his eyes met mine across the distance, something dangerous flashed in them that instantly made me weak in the knees.
Natasha"You don't have to keep anything in your old room anymore," Mikhail said the next morning, his fingers trailing lazy patterns on my bare shoulder as we lay tangled together in his bed. "Move in here properly. Bring all your things."My heart did a little flip at the casualness of it, like it was the most natural thing in the world for me to officially move into his quarters. I supposed it was natural now that we didn't have to hide anymore."Are you sure?" I asked, even though I already knew my answer. "It's a big step.""We've already taken the biggest step," He pointed out, pulling me closer. "Everything else is nothing. Besides, I want your stuff here. I want to wake up and see your books on the shelves and your clothes in the closet. I want it to feel like our space, not just mine.""Our space," I repeated, testing out the words. They felt right. "Okay. Let's do it."I found myself standing in my old bedroom a few hours later, looking at all the belongings I had accumula
MikhailThe morning after the council's decision, I woke up with Natasha still in my arms, sunlight streaming through my bedroom windows. For the first time in years I felt like I could actually breathe. No more hiding, no more sneaking around and no more pretending she was just my sister when she was so much more than that. She was mine and nothing was going to change that, but I knew the real test was still coming. The council had given us permission to be together, but that didn't mean the pack would accept it easily. We had been confined to my room or hers for the past day while everything got sorted out with Rowan and his pack. Dimitri handled the political fallout, while the gossip spread like wildfire through the pack house and probably beyond. By now everyone knew, everyone had heard, and everyone had formed an opinion about what Natasha and I were doing.Today we would have to face them all."Are you ready for this?" I asked Natasha as we got dressed that morning, watchi
NatashaMikhail and I barely made it down the hallway when Rowan appeared, his face twisted with rage."You!" He snarled, stalking toward us. "You fucking whore!"Mikhail immediately stepped in front of me, his body a protective wall between Rowan and I. "Watch your mouth." He growled, his eyes darkening with anger."Watch my mouth?" Rowan laughed, but there was no humor in it. "I'll say whatever the fuck I want! She was supposed to be mine! We had an arrangement!""An arrangement I never agreed to," I said from behind Mikhail, keeping my voice steady even though my heart was racing. "I never wanted to marry you, Rowan. I'm sorry you're hurt, but—""Hurt? HURT?" His voice rose to a shout. "You humiliated me! Made me look like a fool in front of everyone! And for what? So you could fuck your brother?""That's enough," Dimitri's voice cut through the hallway as he appeared, clearly having followed us. "Rowan, I understand you're upset, but threats and insults won't solve anything.""I'
MikhailDimitri's office had never felt so much like a courtroom. The council members were already assembled when we arrived, arranged in a semicircle of stern faces and folded arms. Eight of the pack's most senior wolves, all looking at Natasha and I like we had just committed murder instead of confessing our love. Dimitri took his place at the head, his expression carved from stone, and gestured for us to stand in the center of the room.I kept Natasha's hand clasped firmly in mine. Whatever happened next, we would face it together."Do you understand the severity of what you've done?" Dimitri asked, his voice eerily calm. "You've humiliated Irina and her entire family in front of witnesses from three territories. You've destroyed an alliance that took months to negotiate. You've potentially started a war, and you did it all for—" He gestured between us, his expression somewhere between disbelief and disgust. "For this.""For love," I said firmly. "We did it for love.""Love," D
NatashaThe silence after my words was deafening. Every single person in that hall was staring at me and I wanted to melt into the floor and disappear but I couldn't.I wouldn't. Not now that I finally found the courage to speak. My heart was pounding so hard I thought it might burst out of my chest and my hands were shaking but I kept my chin up and kept my eyes on Mikhail even though I could feel the weight of hundreds of stares boring into me.People started moving and murmuring, the whispers spreading like wildfire through the crowd. I saw shock on faces, disbelief, horror and curiosity, but I didn't care about any of them. I only cared about Mikhail, standing there at the altar in his ceremonial clothes with Irina beside him, and the look on his face when I said those words. He's already mated to me.I started walking toward the altar, my legs somehow carrying me forward even though they felt like jelly. Each step felt heavy but I took it anyway, moving through the crowd as th
MikhailI stood in my room while servants bustled around me, dressing me in the ceremonial clothes I was supposed to wear to bind myself to a woman I didn't love. The fabric was expensive, the embroidery intricate, every detail carefully chosen to reflect the importance of this union between two powerful families.Deep down, it felt like I was going to a funeral instead of a mating ceremony."Arms up, sir." The tailor said, and I obeyed mechanically, letting him adjust the formal jacket, pin it here and there, fuss over the fit.Through the window I could hear the sounds of celebration, music and laughter and excited chatter as the pack gathered for what they considered a joyous occasion. To them this was a triumph, a strategic victory and the beginning of a new era of prosperity and strength. To me, it was the beginning of the end."You look very handsome," The tailor said, stepping back to admire his work. "Your bride will be pleased."I said nothing. What was there to say? That I
Natasha"Where are we going?"Mikhail just smiled and tugged me along, his hand warm in mine. We had slipped out of the house after midnight, moving quietly through the hallways and out the back door. The pack lands were silent except for the distant sound of night guards making their rounds."You
MikhailI knew it was a bad idea the moment Natasha slipped into my study at two in the afternoon. The house was fully awake, servants moving through hallways, pack members coming and going. My study wasn't some secluded bedroom. It was right off the main corridor. Anyone could knock. Anyone could
MikhailIt started three days after I told Natasha I loved her.I was in the training yard, running drills with some of the younger pack members, when Rose approached. She was one of the pack's warriors. She was strong, attractive, and we had hooked up a handful of times over the past year. She w
NatashaWhen I finally pulled back from the kiss, we were both breathing hard. Mikhail's eyes searched mine in the darkness, and I could see the fear there. He probably thought that he said and revealed too much."Say something," He whispered. "Please."I traced the line of his jaw, trying to find
