The news of Meridith's wedding in the next five days filled Daisy's ears. Meridith's name rang in her ears wherever she walks to in the Palace. Even at the farm, the other slaves didn't hide their excitement as they were all going to have free food at the King's wedding.

The only time they get to eat more is during any festive period or ceremony.
