Rachel's POV

A sharp pain tore through my chest, so sudden and intense that I gasped, nearly losing my footing.

Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

I clutched my heart, my breath coming in shallow gasps as a wave of nausea rolled through me.

Damon.

I could feel him. Not just our bond, but his pain.

I didn't hesitate. I turned and ran.

The battlefield was chaos - wolves locked in brutal fights, warriors screaming orders, the scent of blood thick in the air. But I barely registered any of it.

I had to get to Damon.

I pushed forward, dodging past clashing figures, my heart pounding in my ears. Every step felt like I was running against a force pulling me back, an unnatural heaviness settling over the battlefield.

And then I saw them.

Damon and Vaughn.

They were locked in a brutal fight, but something was wrong.

Damon had Vaughn pinned - he should have won - but then something shifted. A pulse of dark energy crackled in the air, distorting reality for a split se

Rachel's POV Vaughn's golden eyes flickered between their usual color and the abyssal black that signified the curse's hold on him. He wanted to scoff, to dismiss my words, but I had seen it - the sliver of doubt that cracked through his certainty. That was all I needed. I took another step forward. "You think this power is yours to command, but deep down, you know the truth, don't you?" My voice was steady, unwavering. "You didn't take this power. It took you." Vaughn's lips curled into a snarl, but I saw the hesitation in his stance. "Shut up," he snapped, but his voice lacked its usual bite. Good. Keep pushing, I mentally told myself. I let my eyes drift past him, to the dark energy pulsing around him like a living entity. The Mark of the Forsaken. It twisted and coiled like smoke, feeding off his emotions - his rage, hatred, vengeance - growing stronger with every moment he gave in to them. But now, doubt had seeped into him. And doubt weakened the Mark's hold.

  • Alpha Damon's Unwanted Luna   Chapter 49

Rachel's POV The battlefield was a blur of snarling wolves, clashing claws, and the sickening scent of blood. I barely had time to process anything - only react. A rogue lunged at me. I twisted just in time, my dagger slicing across his chest. He staggered back, but I didn't stop. I couldn't stop. Because for every rogue I struck down, another took its place. We were heavily outnumbered. And Vaughn knew it. I caught a glimpse of him at the edge of the chaos, standing there with that infuriating smirk, watching like he had already won. A deep growl rumbled in my chest. Not a chance! I turned just as another rogue charged at me. I raised my dagger - too slow. He tackled me to the ground, his claws tearing into my shoulder. Pain exploded through me. I gasped, struggling beneath his weight, my muscles screaming in protest. Then - a blur of black fur. Damon. His massive form collided with the rogue, ripping him off me in a violent fury of claws and teeth. I scramble

  • Alpha Damon's Unwanted Luna   Chapter 48

Rachel's POV The scent of blood was thick in the air. I barely had time to process what was happening before I saw Damon stagger. My heart lurched as I caught sight of the blade dripping with his blood - and the worst part? It wasn't a rogue who had done it. A member of our pack stood frozen, his eyes wild with panic, the dagger still trembling in his grip. One of our own. I felt my breath catch. How? How could this be happening? A deafening growl tore through the battlefield as Damon turned toward on the traitor, his teeth bared, fury radiation from him in waves. The warrior barely had time to react before Damon grabbed him by the throat, lifting him off the ground with terrifying ease. "Who sent you?" Damon snarled, his voice dangerously low. The traitor gasped, his face turning red as he clawed at Damon's grip. "I - I was given an order..." His voice cracked. " I - I didn't have a choice." I stepped forward, my pulse hammering. "Who?" His gaze flickered to

  • Alpha Damon's Unwanted Luna   Chapter 47

Vaughn's POV The scent of blood and damp earth clung to the air, mixing with the acrid smoke curling from the fire pit. I stood at the edge of the clearing, my eyes scanning the restless figures gathered before me. My warriors - those who had sworn to follow me, to reclaim what had been stolen. But tonight, there was no need for rousing speeches. No need for empty promises. They all knew what was coming. I turned to my second-in-command, a burly wolf named Axel, who stood with his arms crossed. "Tell me," I murmured. "How secure are they?" Axel's grin was slow and cruel. "Not as secure as they think." The reports had been coming in steadily - details about the Moon Stone Pack's defenses, their patrol rotations, their weak spots. I didn't question where the information came from; I didn't care. Someone inside was feeding me exactly what I needed - probably still Maya - and that was enough. "They're slipping," Axel continued. "Their warriors are on edge, their Luna

  • Alpha Damon's Unwanted Luna   Chapter 46

Damon's POV The walls of my office felt smaller than usual, closing in on me as I scanned the reports laid out on my desk. Caleb stood across from me, his arms crossed, his expression tight with frustration. "I've gone through every patrol record from the last two weeks," he said. "Someone's been altering them. The changes are subtle - barely noticeable - but whoever did this knew exactly what that were doing." I exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through my hair. "Which means it's someone on the inside." Caleb nodded. "Only a handful of people have access to these reports." I clenched my jaw. The security breach at the eastern border hadn't been an accident. Someone had deliberately shifted schedules, leaving an opening for the rogues to slip through. And if Caleb hadn't started digging, I wouldn't have realized the full extent of the problem. "We need to find out who's responsible before another attack happens." I pushed back from my desk and stood, pacing. "Double-check
