8- Half Witch

Third Person's POV

"Shift," Maya said, and both Jacob and Ken shifted. On their way back, Maya asked Jacob, "Can you please ask the Omega's to bring food to your office?" I am very hungry."

Jacob's wolf, Jake, nodded, and they ran faster. Ken couldn't believe what he just saw. Both him and Jacob shifted so they would be a lot faster than normal, but Maya kept up with their pace in human form. They reach the pack house in no time. 

Maya was looking at the two men, waiting for them to shift to their human form. Jacob growled at Ken, who was about to shift in front of Maya. Just then, he realized that Jacob didn't want Maya to see him naked, so he went behind the tree.

Maya rolled her eyes, which made Jacob, who had just shifted and was currently wearing his shorts, growl at her. Maya decided to get naughty and tease Jacob, "What? I saw him naked yesterday. "

Jacob looked at Ken and the beta explained his life. "Remember we caught her on the northern border when we were doing our patrol?" We can't talk to her if I can't shift. "

"Don't ever do it again," Jacob warned Ken, and he looked at Maya. "And you, don't wait for them to shift right before your eyes, turn around so you can't see, that's the basic."

"I wanted to see it. I have never seen someone naked before. Ken was the first. " Maya said mischievously.

"I don't want to be in between you two, so save your teasing yourselves." Don't show off in front of me just because I don't have a mate yet. " Ken complained.

The three of them walked into the pack house and went straight to Jacob's office, where food was being prepared. Maya was delighted and started eating even without telling her.

"I'm so hungry. You did not give me food yesterday until this morning, so don't blame me. " Maya replied hastily. "Sit down, I will explain to you everything while I am eating." She added.

The two men took their seats and looked at Maya, waiting for her to start talking. When Maya noticed that they were ready, she started to explain.

"There were a total of 33 rogues camped in your territory," Maya started. Shock was evident on Jacob's face as well as Ken's. They did not make any comments and let Maya continue.

"They were there for the past 7 weeks and they left about 4 days ago." I know because I can still smell 33 different scents. It sounds weird, right? "You did not smell anything there, I assumed." Maya said and paused for a minute to savor the food she was eating.

After drinking water, Maya continued, "Why your warriors never feel or smell or even never see the tents, you wonder, right? It was covered by a spell. This spell was used to cover anything that was visible as well as anything that had a scent. None of your warriors would know unless they were witches too. " SHe said and looked at the two who had disbelief on their faces.

"Yes, I am a witch. "

Jacob was speechless, and so was Beta Ken who couldn't help but ask, "You're a hybrid?"

"I guess so. My mom was a witch, and my aunt took me from my human father in the human territory when I was a kid. I am 100 percent, I am half a witch. "

"Wait, your human father?" Ken interrupted her. "I saw you in your wolf form. How could you have a wolf if your mother was a witch and your father was a human? " Ken continued asking.

"That part, I don't know. That is all I knew as I grew up. That is why the alpha, as well as the other pack members in my previous pack, despise me. Because I am half witch and half human to them. I never shifted in front of anyone there, so they were clueless about what I really was. "

Jacob was just listening and contemplating whether or not she was telling the truth. Maya was worried and wanted to know what Jacob was thinking, but her strength had deflated dramatically due to her excessive usage of her power and in shielding the territory and locating scents of those rogues.

"You are saying that you don't know how you got your wolf?" Is that even possible? Why don't you ask your wolf? "Maybe she knows something," Ken suggested.

"I already did," she responded, "but she doesn't know either." It's up to her whether or not she lied to me. I don't want to add that matter to the list of things on my mind. I have no desire to participate. I didn't look back, only forward. "

"Do you have any idea who was the witch that supported those rogues?" Jacob asked.

"No, this is the first time I smelled her." I never get along with other witches very well. Every time I look at them, I find it strange that they are afraid of me. "

"Now you know you are scary," Jacob smirked.

"Hey, do I look scary to you? Be honest, tell me...." Maya teased him again.

Ken was trying to control his laughter, but Jacob was irritated. He didn't like the way how Maya talk to him. It made him turn on every time she teases him.

Maya was waiting for Jacobs reply with a mischievous smile.

'What's wrong with this woman?' Jacob asked Jake.

'I like her, I'm so happy she's ours. Moon Goddess must have love us so much that she gifted us with a mate as perfect as her.' Jake replied.

'You have to stop thinking that way. She's not obedient at all. Are you not afraid that she would turn up like my mother?' Jacob asked Jake who was now become silent.

'I thought so, so before you get too excited with our mate, you have to think first and never get too attached with her.' Jacob warned Jake.

Meanwhile, Maya heard everything Jacob and Jake had been talking about. She was glad she found out Jacob's reason for not accepting her fully. So she decided to inform him,

"By the way, you are my second chance, mate." Ken and Jacob looked at her. 

"What?!?" Jacob blurted out.
