I can’t believe I just said all that to the one person who has had my back through everything. I need to fix this. I need to make sure she knows I didn’t mean anything I just said, because I know I have her. I can rely on Sarah. No matter what I may need, I can always call her, and she will help me through anything.

“No, you’re right. You can’t say anything to anyone, because who knows. You wouldn’t have anywhere to go. Who can you really trust these days anyway? Certainly not the one person who has stood by you through everything and brought you up when you were down, or the one person who picks you up in the pouring rain to give you a ride to school, so you don’t freeze to death or the one person WHO HAS KEPT your secret.”

She takes a deep breath and with her final words and turns to walks away. Before she gets too far, she stops, turns and looks me in the eye.
