Jett POV

Earlier,

Merritt went MIA at some point after ordering his Beta to block the city exits. He returned later but continued to maintain many feet far from me.

I was out of the woods now. I glanced his way and thought that he must have something to say but was holding back. Good.

He had undoubtedly grown uncomfortable with the presence of another Alpha, moving about his territory. An angry alpha at that. That was his problem.

My rage had cooled a little. Perhaps because of the scent in the air. I expected him to say something along the lines of, "leave the search to us." "We'll find her and bring her to you." Or to complain that I was making his pack members ask questions. Then I would invite him to try and make me leave, if he could.

But he merely followed quietly behind. Most times, he stayed out of sight.

Clove had done a background check on the raven weeks ago. According to that report, she lived in this city and even worked in a night club owned by the Ruby Bloodmoon.

Thank you for the update author!!! In her vulnerable state, I hope she opens up to Jett letting him know that she doesn’t want to get hurt or stay around to witness Jett ( her mate) marry Sabrina.
