Ava's gaze darted wildly, avoiding Dolion's direction as if her life depended on it. She had seen countless shirtless men on the training grounds, but none of them were him – her mate.

The mere thought sent a shiver down her spine. She struggled to maintain her composure, her voice steady as she asked, "What are you doing?"

Dolion's piercing gaze locked onto hers, burning with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat. His low, husky voice sent tremors through her entire being. "I'm staying with you," he declared, his words dripping with possessiveness.

Ava's defiance flared up, and she raised an eyebrow, her tone laced with sarcasm. "I don't remember asking you to be my nanny."
