CHAPTER 93

At the thought of being followed, Rosie’s throat dried up. She stopped walking and as if to confirm her fear, the footsteps behind her also halted. Alarmed, Rosie turned to see who it was but the person appeared to be much faster. His hands reached for her and he wrapped them tightly around her, enveloping her in a hug. He lowered his nose and inhaled, releasing a sigh of relief as her scent evaded his senses.

“ I missed you”. He whispered in her ears.

Rosie let out a sigh of relief, allowing her tensed shoulders relax a bit. She put a hand across her chest, feeling the loud thumping coming from underneath. It took a while for her to finally calm her thudding heart.

“ Have you lost it?!” Her thin voice yelled out when she did. “ Why’d you do that?”
