Sheriff Hardin drove at immense speed on the road with another police car following him behind, in it was Officer Perry.

After he had gotten that panic call from Shannon he had to leave Joan and dash out of the house, calling Officer Perry for back up while getting into his car. Shannon seemed like she was in a lot of trouble, she was crying and her voice was trembling on the phone.
