Chapter Six

The Army was right behind us as I could hear their footsteps and gunshots trying to scare us since I was certain they wouldn't shoot directly at us as to not hurt the baby, which I used to my advantage as my getaway plan.

Suddenly, we arrived at a cliff. Looking down was a waterfall and it looked scary. I turn to Frederick and he shook his head in fear, I understand but we had no choice. I took his hand and we both leaped down the cliff, into the water.

We swam through the river to the other side of the jungle. Victor was quite a strong baby, he didn't cry nor catch a cold whilst we were hiking the jungle looking for a safe place to sleep since the sun was about to set.

"Hey, your arm is bleeding. Frederick mumbled behind me. You got shot while we were running earlier?" His eyes were filled with sympathy for me.

" Yeah, it's nothing. It doesn't hurt that much though, the bullet just brushed through my skin. Let's keep going." I turned to leave but he held my wou
