Chapter 4: Packing

After I'm dressed I step out from behind the tree and say goodbye to Samantha. After she says goodbye she walks in the opposite direction as me. 

She's probably going home. I think to myself

I walk in the back door of the pack house and head upstairs towards my bedroom. 

I really don't want to pack. I tell Alicia

Yeah well you don't have a choice. Alicia says sounding sad

I walk in my bedroom and the first thing I do is go to my closet and grab my suitcases. I put them on the bed and open them up. I walk back over to my closet and pick out my clothes for my birthday tomorrow. I put them in my bathroom and walk back over to my closet. 

Alicia I have no idea what to pack. Like am I supposed to pack whatever I want or only necessities? I ask her

Honestly girl I have no idea. I would pack necessities but also pack what you want. Alicia answers

I like your way of thinking. I tell her

I walk into my closet and grab a bunch of clothes and walk back over to my bed. Just than I hear a knock on my door. 

Come in. I say 

My mom walks in and sees me packing and smiles. 

I'm glad to see you packing. She says 

Yeah well me going away is what's best for the pack right? I ask

Yes it is. You being sold to Alpha Jackson for that much will get us out of debt. Mom says while smiling at me

Samantha told me the good news about her also being sold to the Blood Moon Pack. How much was she sold for? I ask

Not nearly as much as you. She was sold to the 3rd strongest warrior in that pack. Mom said

Thats not what I asked. I said

She sighs and than says I know. She was sold for 900 thousand dollars. 

That's it? I ask

Mom looks at me and says You need to figure she is an Omega. She comes from a long line of Omegas and as much as I like Samantha I'm surprised a warrior such as he has even taken an interest in her at all. 900 thousand dollars is a lot for an Omega and he didn't even have any competition so for him to bid that high is surprising. 

Okay well off topic I have no idea what to pack. Help me please? I ask

Okay let's see what you grabbed so far. Mom says looking at the clothes on my bed

So first things first anything revealing you can leave here. Mom says looking at a crop top of mine. 

But why? I ask

Because you are about to have a mate. Mates don't like others looking at what's theirs so even if you pack clothes that are revealing he probably won't let you wear it unless it's only in the bedroom. Mom says 

Ugh I don't want to think about mating with him. I whine

Sweetie I was once in your shoes. I was scared, excited, emotional, not ready to leave my home too. I had never met your father before. Your father asked my dad if he could send him a picture of me so he could weigh out his options. After a few weeks your father bought me. 2 days later I was in this pack in this house. I didn't want to mate with him. I didn't really want anything to do with him but I was afraid that if I didn't do what he wanted than what would happen? So I did and we mated and once we marked each other that bond took hold and I fell head over heals for him. Now look at us. Mom said

So you're saying that even if I don't want to mate with this guy he is my mate because he chose me and now I have to mate with him because it's my duty? I ask raising an eyebrow

Essentially. Mom says

Ugh I have to much stuff with only 4 suitcases. How am I supposed to live with only 4 suitcases of stuff? I ask

Trust me he'll buy you more stuff. Now why don't you take that smaller suitcase right there and go pack up your bathroom stuff that you need. Obviously you'll need to finish packing the last minute stuff tomorrow but at least most of it will be done. I'll continue with weeding out clothes. Mom says

Okay. What will happen to my clothes I leave behind? I ask

We'll donate them. Mom says

I go to the bathroom and starting packing away my bathroom stuff. About a half an hour later I leave my small suitcase in the bathroom and walk out into my room. 

Wow you've gotten so much done already. I tell mom as I walk over to her

She smiles at me and says yeah well about 21years ago I had to do the same thing. 

I can't believe it's been that long already. I tell her

She smiles at me and says I'll continue with the clothes now go to your closet and start picking out shoes. Just remember you won't be able to bring all of them so pick out your favorites and the ones you absolutely need. Once you do that than you can grab other ones if there's room. 

Okay. I say and walk over to my shoes

A couple hours pass by before we know it and it's already after midnight. We have everything packed except for the last minute stuff. 

It's time for bed sweety. You have a long day ahead of you and you need your sleep. Happy 18th Birthday. Mom says as she gives me a hug and kiss

After she walks out of my room I go to the bathroom and get ready for bed. After a few minutes I close my eyes and soon drift off to sleep.
