Chapter 36: Pester

It wasn't until the question was asked again, that I angrily snapped out from what I was thinking.

“Why aren't you having your meal?”

With those sharp eyes of mine, I glared at Zeeb. “What's the matter?”

My voice was dripping cold, and obviously showing out my displeasure. I don't know why Zeeb sometimes always acts senseless, with no reasoning.

Can't he clearly see I was having a thought of my own.

“Um, sorry for disturbing me. You may continue.” Zeeb quickly said, after inspecting my mood.

I rolled my eyes at him disdainfully. Continue what? He has ruined whatever I was thinking, so how could I possibly go back to it. Foolish Zeeb! I cursed.

Zeeb coughed taking a few steps up. I ignored him, and coldly returned my gaze back to my meal.

With my eyes on the meal in front of me, I could only eat in reluctance, with my side eyes, glancing at her discreetly.
