The Speculation

William was puzzled by what Jen just revealed to him. Did he hear his boyfriend right? He and that stray… They’re mates?!

“Well, ‘was’ is more appropriate, since I rejected her,” Jen corrected. “But, regardless of that, just the fact that my wolf got attracted to her’s, when she already has you- her mate… Not only that, but when I used the words of rejection, she seemed to be in real pain from that. For her to react that way… Something is definitely suspicious about her.”

“Is that so…” William could only say, unsure how he should feel about the news.

On one hand, he was glad to hear this, for it meant that his suspicions about Ellie were true. That the girl could not possibly be his true mate, if she was able to attract another werewolf, and be attracted to him. He did not know what pack she came from, but if they were planning on what Jen assumed they would, those people must be quite desperate to get rid of competition. Either that or they may want to simply rule over these woods. R
