I woke up to a knock on the door.

“Ugh, who could it be so early in the morning?” I squinted my eyes trying to stay awake.

The person knocking stopped knocking and now barged into the room.

“What —“

“Aunty aunt!” Alice ran to me and jumped on the bed. “You promised me that we will play and have a lot of fun today. Now, get up and let’s go.

“Why are you up so early, Alice?”

“For our play date of course.”

“You’ve never woken up so early in the morning, was it your mum that woke you up?”

“No no, my mum didn’t wake me up. I woke up on my own accord,” she said, shaking her head.

“You woke up so early, yet you complain that your mum wakes you up so early in the morning.”

“Oh aunty, I only wake up on important occasions,” she hit her palm on her forehead. “I don’t wake up early if I don’t have anything important to do.”

I chuckled. “So the play date is that important to you?”

“Yes it is aunty, now go get dressed, I can’t believe you’re still in bed.”

I laughed and hopped into the show
