Chapter 2 The devine bloodline...

Scarlett's point of view...

The door of that hell opened, and there in front of me stood a massive, monstrous-looking man who was fully nude. I staggered backward as he moved forward. Even in the dark, his dark torso gave off a shimmer.

I could feel my hands and legs trembling.

"You, was that?" he asked in a raspy voice.

It is gloomy. I cannot see his face except for his huge seven-foot frame standing before me, his hands dripping my sister's blood. I heard the clinking of his steps.

I attempted to move away from him by stepping backward when he attempted to reach me, even though I felt like molten wax all over.

My mouth dropped into a raspy yelp.

"No…!!"

"It's you...!" he groaned confirming again while lunging towards me in just a step, catching my neck in an instant.

I am dead...! I don't have a chance right now. He will kill me.

"It's you...!" he groaned again while lunging towards me in just a step, catching my neck in an instant.

His claws dug deeper into the papery flesh of my neck, and a sharp pungent smell of of blood filled the air as he sniffed pulling me closer.

"It's you...it was your scent! Wasn't it...?" he groaned still in a bit of doubt.

The locket was still wrapped around my neck, I wished he wouldn't grab it.

I was hanging in the air, helpless like a dead lamb.

His attempts to lick the wound on my neck, as if he were tasting something delicious, caused a sudden wave of panic to flood my consciousness. His expression brightened with laughter, as though he had found a hidden gem.

I was kicking and thrashing against him when tears started to fall from my eyes. However, nothing managed to release me from his grip.

I was hurting a great deal. My head pounded, and my throat burned and hurt. I attempted to reach up and touch my throat, but I was unable to do so. His grip tightened until the skin beneath his fingers felt hot and swollen. A sharp pain seized my entire body as he pinned me to the wall with a thud. I started to lose it; my hands went numb.

I thought for a split second that I might be dead. At that moment, I wished I could pass away quickly because I was certain I was close to death.

It was going to be all over for me, but just as I was about to give up, there came a vague, flickering light of hope from behind him, in the corner of the shadows. I flickered my eyes as I couldn't hold any longer.

He turned to face the light, but his nails were still piercing my flesh and causing excruciating burning pain throughout my body. The light got brighter and brighter and I shut my eyes.

"You bitch...!" he cursed a grunt while throwing me down. I gasped for air, trying to collect myself when I heard Catherine's voice again. The light was a blue flame torch that she had been holding. She might have lightened the blue flame torch with her magic.

She removed her locket...!

She stumbled and hit the torch on his head.

"Run...!" she screamed me out of the haze. I must have driven in action by now but my whole body was paralyzed by the pain.

Whacking her away, he grabbed my hair. His tightened clench made me feel dizzy and I screamed in pain.

It is the end...!

But no...!

I refused to be a victim for the sake of my sister.

"Ugh..." I groaned before I lost my sound. I can't give in...!

As the last thing, I pulled out the locket in my neck and that gave me a creek of power. The real power of my wolf.

Yes, it will release my scent, but also my powers.

He pinned me on the wall to take me down while sniffing my scent in, as much as he could, enjoying it like something heavenly.

"It was indeed you...ha... I found you..." he growled excitedly howling like a crazy dog.

However, removing that divine locket, I felt the sharp fangs inside my mouth start to grow instantly.

Really sharp and I can say they were bigger and stronger than a normal one.

When he lowered his mouth to my neck, I could feel every part of my body being touched by him. The tension in his body elevated and I knew I needed to act fast.

Before he could do anything else, I opened my mouth wide and locked them on the inside of his neck.

In one quick move, I ripped out as much flesh as I could from his throat.

His blood ran warm down my throat, making me feel sick. I spit it out, along with a giant mound of flesh from his body.

I refused to be his prey even if he was more powerful than me.

Startled by the unexpected attack, he fell to the ground. His hands grabbed his throat and he gurgled, choking on his blood.

I stood again and searched for Catherine.

"Catherine..." I called out in a hurry but she didn't respond. She was deeply unconscious and was far away from me.

Holding the wound on his neck, he growled as his eyes started to change their coloring to darker shades.

It wasn't the end. He is not dead yet. He was an Alpha and his wound started to heal so fast. In an instant, he sat up grabbing his throat with one of his hands and the other one trying to reach me out for my leg.

"You're going... to pay for this... bitch" he growled.

I needed to get away before his pack could hear him struggle. I wriggled out of his hold and kicked his hand away.

He yanked to grab me back but I saw him tumble on the floor.

"Run...Scarlett...! Run..."

"C... Catherine...!" I stuttered, and in that darkness, I figured out, that she grabbed his legs with all she had left.

"Run away...! He won't kill me..." she cried out at me and it was the last thing I heard from her as he gripped her neck and threw her away fiercely with all his strength.

My heart sank but I knew I couldn't let her die in vain, I promised myself that I would definitely come to look for her if I was alive and tumbled backward, down the steps.

Walking or running might not help so this was the only option that clicked in my mind.

I summoned the magic that I earned this morning and let the force shimmer around my body. His eyes went wide in disbelief as he saw me.

"The divine bloodline... The Devine Alpha blood..."

I heard him mumble in shock but I didn't have time to grasp what he meant,

"The descendant of divine healer... I couldn't get your mother but I won't let you escape..." he murmured astonished. He was talking about my mother.

What exactly was that all about?

I can understand from his expression that the magic I possessed was not something normal.

Letting the white light overtake me, I shifted into my wolf for the first time in my life, the beautiful furry beast, and took off into the dark. I noticed a blue light illuminating on my forehead and I felt unknowingly strong because of it.

I never once looked back. I didn't want to leave Catherine behind, but I couldn't do anything to help her now.

There are two possibilities, I might never see her again or I can find her when I fully awaken my bloodline leverages and I opt for the second thing to happen.

I will come back...! Just hang in there, Catherine.

"Catch the bitch...!" he commanded to his men down.

With every ounce of strength left, he yelled, "Stop her...I want her." His men went into a loop of alertness that startled me.

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 99 The end....!

Author's point of view... The great palace of Panoma was adorned in splendour, its ancient walls draped with banners of gold and crimson, the colours of the royal family. The air buzzed with excitement as throngs of citizens from all corners of the kingdom gathered to witness the most significant event in decades, the three royal weddings. The atmosphere was electric, filled with joy and anticipation as the people came to bless the divine couples who would lead their kingdom into a new era. Adrian stood at the edge of the grand courtyard, watching as Aiden, Aaron, and their brides stood before the High Priestess, who presided over the ceremonies. Aiden, looked regal in his ceremonial attire, though there was a tension in his shoulders that only his brothers could see. Aaron, beside him, had an expression of quiet contentment, his eyes never straying far from Catherine, who stood gracefully by his side. The bond between them was palpable, a living testament to the power of

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 98 I won't be a Second Choice...!

Author's point of view... The next day morning, Adrian received an invitation from his father. He gently informed Scarlett that they needed to attend a royal wedding at the palace. He was deliberately vague, not wanting to burden her with more information than necessary as he didn't know what exactly was happening at the palace. Perhaps selfishly avoiding the conversation that he knew might hurt her. She might not take it easy if he told her that Catherine was going to get married to his brother, the one who was insane a day before. Adrian hesitated. Scarlett, however, was already bracing herself for the worst. She heard the rumours from the members of the packhouse. The rumours said that after reaching the capital, Princess Alina would be married to Prince Adrian and deep down, she was certain that the wedding in question was Adrian’s. After all, who else but the future Alpha would be marrying Princess Alina? The thought of being a mere mistress to a married man filled her w

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 97 I love you Scarlett...

Author's point of view... When Scarlett woke up after a few hours, she found a familiar young boy standing at the door. Van stood in silence and was staring at her in disbelief. He looked shocked, surprised and bewildered at the same time. He heard that the little girl he met at the packhouse was Adrian's mate, it was already something that he couldn't believe. But when Dan told him that she was all grown up, Van laughed at him. He never in his dreams had ever imagined that she would be grown up so fast. After staring at her for a while, he snapped out of the maze as Scarlett threw a pillow on his face. "Weirdo...!" she shouted, "Take me to the packhouse" she demanded. Van was speechless. He nodded and escorted her to the penthouse instead of the packhouse as Adrian commanded him. He left her behind and reported it to Adrian . As everything was under control, Adrian arranged a place for Catherine to stay and left the packhouse under Dan's responsibility. Scarlet

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 96 Unexpected revelation...!

Author's point of view... The moment Catherine stepped inside the pack house, a shift in the air was palpable. Aaron, who had been subdued and restrained, suddenly began thrashing against his bindings, his once lifeless eyes now burning with a wild intensity. His growls echoed through the halls, and it took several pack members, including Adrian’s younger brother Aiden, to hold him down long enough to tie him securely to his bed. Adrian, still reeling from the guilt of bringing Catherine here, was alarmed at Aaron’s sudden change. The witch doctor seemed unfazed, though, his focus solely on the task at hand. He ushered Catherine down the dimly lit corridor toward the chamber where the ritual was to take place. “I assure you,” the witch doctor murmured, his voice laced with a strange excitement, “this will only take a moment, and then we will know for certain the extent of your abilities.” Catherine nodded, trying to steady her nerves. She had agreed to help, convinced that

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 95 I am ready to leave...!

Author's point of view... Getting back to his apartment, Adrian entered his penthouse quietly, his mind heavy with the choices he had to make. The dim lighting cast long shadows across the walls, and the usually comforting silence felt suffocating. He glanced around the room, his eyes falling on Scarlett, who had fallen asleep on the couch in the hall instead of her room. Her petite frame was curled up, her chest rising and falling gently with each breath. For a moment, Adrian just stood there, watching her sleep. The innocence on her face, the peacefulness in her expression, it was a stark contrast to the turmoil raging inside him. He approached her slowly, his footsteps barely making a sound against the floor. As he got closer, the weight of his decisions pressed down on him even more. He knelt beside the couch, gently touched her hair, tucking them behind her ear. She looked so beautiful and his heart skipped a beat. "Will you hate me even more, tomorrow?" he mumbled to

  • Alpha's Hidden Mate   Chapter 94 Which promise to break...!

Author's point of view... Adrian’s mind raced as he watched his father’s retreating figure. They were going towards the hidden wing, the place where Aaron was kept. The ultimatum hung over him like a death sentence, but it was the realization of what he had to do next that filled him with dread. His father’s fury was undeniable, and the witch doctor’s presence was a stark reminder of how serious the situation had become. There was no time left for half-measures or secret plans. Adrian clenched his fists, trying to push away the guilt that gnawed at him. He had vowed to protect Scarlett, to keep her safe from the dangers that came with her bloodline. The divine blood that flowed through her veins was not just rare, it was sacred, a gift and a curse in equal measure. Revealing it would paint a target on her back, one that he knew would bring nothing but danger. But as he sensed the impending doom hanging over his brother, he realized he had no choice. “Father, wait!” Ad
